Great clip! With a few tips and tricks, the dressing at the end is very good, well done. I miss going to izakayas in Japan. My first ever meal in Japan was at a very simple izakaya in Nakasu, Fukuoka: edamame beans, yakitori and cabbage with vinegar, totally excellent!

Thank you very much!! You liked the salad dressing! I am so happy to hear that :D Maybe I should try the cabbage one in my video next time :)

@@JapaneseCookingChannel yes, the dressing is very good. Regarding the edamame and cabbage I just mentioned them because I associate them so much with yakitori. No yakitori evening without them. Otherwise nothing to cook: the beans with salt and the cabbage only with some vinegar and some S&B chili powder. At my fav yakitoris I always ate chicken liver, gizzards, motsu and ginko nuts besides the more traditional skewers. Keep up the good work! :-)

Thank you!! You are professional about yakitori! Cabbage and edamame are great side dishes to order at a yakitori restaurant. I will do that next time 😁

Thank you so much for watching it! I am so glad you liked the yakitori one!! Yes, it's perfect for a bbq :D Please enjoy it!

yes, normally yakitori is grilled, but fried like this is just fine. Often the sauce is applied the last minutes when BBQed. Add chicken liver and gizzard skewers and gingko nuts if you find them, may be found vac-packed. To go with typical izakaya yakitori is edamame beans cold with salt, (find frozen), and white cabbage with vinegar. Enjoy!

I've eaten tongue in Mexican food before, it's quite popular in more authentic taco places. But I've never cooked it, yet.

I've never eaten Mexican taco with tongue and really wanna try that once! Japanese tongue dish is using very thin slices and the sauce is unique and so delicious. Hope you can try that sometime 😊

I love and use your recipes. However in Canada we have either bone-in skin on chicken or skinless and boneless. We can’t easily buy boneless with skin.
@JapaneseCookingChannel
@JapaneseCookingChannel Год назад
Thank you for your comment! Oh, I didn't know that. You can make yakitori with skinless chicken too!

It probably costs less just to de bone it yourself anyway. With the proper knife it won't be hard.

@@JapaneseCookingChannel thank you. What about non alcohol options? Is there any? Or is it okay if I skip sake?

I don't know about non alcohol options, so I think you can skip it! :)
@mikaellarsson7932
@mikaellarsson7932 Год назад
@@itsmirnatho7506 if you are in Europe, the US, Canada, Australia and other places there are lots of non-alco white wines. But I can not guarantee that they taste good... In any case, in a cooked dish, like the oden, the alcohol evaporates quickly and voilá!

Rather than using water to make the eggs fluffy, I've always heard to use milk, instead. I don't know if water versus milk changes the flavor at all, but it might be something to try out?
@JapaneseCookingChannel
@JapaneseCookingChannel Год назад
Ah! That's good idea! I think milk makes it mild and delicious. Thanks for telling 😆
