I think it’s hilarious how aghast Jemma and Sally were about Mike eaten the burnt chocolate that was in the bin for a second. Eating burnt chocolate from the bin might not even make the top 20 things of worst things Mike has admitted to eating

“I can see the terror in his eyes.” is literally the most Barry expression ever 😂

mike giving himself a 9 was a lovely surprise given that he usually scores himself unreasonably low

Ben with his booze, Jamie with his non-understanding of how measurement works. This was a great episode 😄

“Basil and strawberry go really well together. What’s like a strawberry? Raspberry.” I see that Jamie has adopted the same cooking philosophy as my dad: it looks similar therefore it should taste similar. (Spoiler Alert: no it doesn’t!)

Barry scoring himself low, Mike scoring himself super high (although he usually dramatically underscores himself, so I guess he's making up for all that...?). Jamie giving himself a round score, Ben giving himself a decimal point score… and a low one for him at that... What is this video? A Freaky Friday?

For extra chaos, there needs to be a Pass It On episode where the boys get to choose their order (maybe split them up into two goes again so there's extra chaos). Then instead of calling them down by the order they chose, have Janice just bring them in on her whim so they're all out of order and have no idea what's going on or who's already gone before.

That ad for the “pass it on live” is pure genius.

It's hilarious to me that Baz knows him going first is "the worst" possible choice lol (Flashbacks to all the weird combos the boys have been stuck with, because of Baz's early decisions)

I feel like Ben’s “useful info” bar should be longer. He’s always dropping little bits of wisdom.

James's "Where's the dish?" line is going to follow him the rest of his life. That's his "It's raw!".

It's impressive how all your guests so far have just molded so perfectly and fit so well with your vibe. It's a testament to your atmosphere you've created I feel like. Love Jemma and Sally, love to see them come back. Amazing episode. :D

Jemma's comments had me absolutely rolling. "The sponge is quite nice." LOL

I think Jamies raspberry basil would've totally changed their thoughts on the dish. I think it really needed that brightness and interesting flavor to punch it up, whether it was set or not, over the store bought jelly.

Also, to whoever mixed the smoke detector sound into the ad for the live event: you are brilliant and I hate you! The fact that it's mixed in such a way that it's juuust there loud enough that the music is still the main noise you hear, but too loud to ignore it, makes me think the smoke detector in my apartment is going off every single time I watch that ad!😂

I'm only 35 seconds in and I can already tell this is going to be chaotic in the best possible manner 😆

Was initially expecting a layer cake with interesting fillings and a nice icing, and I'm not sure that wouldn't have been a better way to go. Thyme with the raspberry? Loving the guest appearances all around. Not that I don't love the boys to pieces, but it's wonderful to get some lady energy in the house as well.

I think when sally talked to jamie after he got subbed out when she explained it and made joke, even when it was on accident, she made jamie feel a lot better, losend up a lot (body language). I think he was, considering his short comment before, a bit frustrated he got subbed out again when he was on the go. That was wholesome. :D

Ok, I need to know this, does mike pre-record the beginning Janice segment or these guys are just really good actors!!

I would love to see another 1914 cookbook recipe episode! With a guest chef.

Jamie, pass it on is where you shine. It's like cooking at home, cooking from instinct. Look at the at home chili recipe from way back when. It's the same confidence! But with the growth over the years to try new things, and a willingness to be critical of yourself.

Now to make the anti-trifle, with the scrambled chocolate lump, grenadine jelly, burnt white chocolate, raspbasil jam, melted chocolate, and... I guess more of the sponge cake? =P (Also: as much as I like the guest chefs in Pass It On, I'd really prefer if they weren't watching the whole process. A lot of the fun comes from people getting thrown in the deep end!)

I would like to do a pass it on with Jemma and sally with like a Christmas cake 🎂 or a cake that has to be sold in there crumbs and dollies shop. To me the ultimate tester of pass it on would be would it sell in a shop or serve it in a restaurant. It would be interesting to do a chefs badge on one of the multiple masterclasses that they have such as cookies , caramel, meringue or decorating that both Jemma and sally are masters at. Love the images for Jemma and sally on pass it on It would be an interesting for an ultimate chefs battle with poppy, Ben, Jemma and sally with tag teams in a Hell’s Kitchen format or master chef Australia with Jamie being Gordon Ramsey

I was NOT expecting titlecards for Jemma & Sally

Idea for a communication badge: Two or three normals are presented with an identical mystery box each. They then have to come up with a plan for a dish, and make the dish, while the kitchen is divided, so the normals can't see what the others are doing, but they can speak with each other during the cooking process. The aim is to produce 2/3 identical dishes, both in taste and looks.

Love the stat cards made for Jemma and Sally! I hope they make one for Poppy in the future too

I love the pass it on, you have so much frantic stress and so many things that get started, ignored and put to the side in hopes it is someone else's problem. When Chef Ben's contribution is booze on a sponge and some nuts you know it's a good episode. And if Barry had turned off his hob his chocolate custard may have been salvaged., just saying.

For me it's a fail, it had 6 layers but some layers were doubled up. Plus, where's the fresh fruit, could have use macerated strawberries with vanilla bean as a layer. I would love to see a battle like this but with the normals vs the chefs/bakers

That's a fail in my book, two bakers and a chef had 30 minutes between them and the result was something I could easily make in under 50 minutes. Not that I'm blaming the bakers or the chef.... Barry is 100% at fault :D Great episode though, I'd love to see a do-over.... perhaps Ben or a baker should go first though! :D

Poor Jamie. It must feel so devastating to be the guy who gets interrupted but the ladies just made sure the trifle works and I feel like it had not so much to do with Jamies performance.

I think the fun part is the two guests getting in there and by the time their time is done, even having the advantage of knowing what everyone else is doing, still find themselves realizing that this whole relay isn't as easy as it looks.

I think you need some updated stat cards. I mean, Jamie's just doesn't do justice to how much he's improved. If anything he is now at least as productive as Mike or Barry lol

I feel like Baz and Jamie have fallen too far into the world of internet extremes, "if it's not radical, weird and interesting, it's not good." If they got a brief for a PB&J, they'd end up toasting coconut for some reason. Sometimes good is just simple done well.

I was saying Wheeeeere's the fruit? My Mum always did a sponge layer with port sprinkled on it, then canned sliced peaches (drained), then custard over the peaches, let set then would add cream, Jelly and then the same again then sprinkle crushed flake on top. Good try guys. I guess a pass.

Sorry guys, but that was definitely a FAIL. 😂 Did the chocolate even make it in - either the white chocolate or the chocolate cream?? And neither the homemade jam OR jelly went in...AND the custard was chewy?? Seriously, I don't understand how you think it was a pass for that much time given, that many people involved, AND store bought jam as a layer. But the fails are so much more fun anyway, lol.

OK that's a serious mishap there. I always thought Janice's voice was added in post production, but in this episode time when she said "No he doesn't", Jemma and Sally reacted to the joke in real time, which means Mike (who does the Janice voice) was watching the whole cooking process with them all the time. That really spoils the Recipe Relay for me... I honestly hoped it was at least partially genuine but knowin that all these mistakes are fake breaks my heart...

If someone said I was getting a 6 layer dessert or a trifle (which this was not) and served this, I'd be disappointed. If they told me they'd whipped up a quick pud though, I'd probably be happy.

Have to say a fail, only Ben's nuts made it in to the dish, the rest was Sally's and Jemma's contribution

I don't get how the chef's (and Mike) thought this was a pass. They made over 10 elements from which half weren't used because they were a failure and even some of the elements that were used, like the custard, were not done properly. the elements that were used in the end could have been made (better) in half the time they used. And while it is almost impossible to rate the taste of it, I can't imagine (being a chef myself) that there was any acidity or freshness to balance out the amount of sugary sweet stuff that they chucked in at the end. Definite fail this time!

I actually really dislike this format, it could be so much fun having the chefs be just as clueless as the rest but instead it just ruins it especially with others getting to watch and direction from the chefs when they take over.. it's just basically a group cooking video now rather than the hilarious mess pass it on was.

I would have said it was a pass IF they had made the jam themselves. But they were supposed to make a 6 layer desert and they really made 5 layers and then used a store bought layer. If the dish was good then it would’ve been a pass but since they didn’t really seem to like it much/thought it was average and they used a store bought element, I think it is a fail.

Poor Barry. At least he didn't decide on a croquembouche.

Not a big fan of these two. I'm sure they're lovely people but I didn't get that in the last two vids. Negativity isn't funny by itself and it just felt one note from them
