I just recorded a new song with my POD Express, and am very happy with it. I used it as my audio interface, which worked great, too. Your intro jam sounds great, and it just shows how versatile this pedal is - very easy to use, and can do all kinds of sounds. Your music style is completely different than mine, but the pedal handles both styles very well. Let us know how the jam goes using it as your "amp sim."

Minutes ago and I’m more than satisfied (coming from a UA dream 65 ) both amp only and Fx only sounded great and no one noticed I wasn’t using the UA dream 65! I’ll be making a video soon .
Nice video, Others on youtube are finding all kinds of other more Hidden stuff in the unit. I looked at it like you could use it for an emergency device/small and take spare esp. if you use another modeller unit/stomp for gigging. That Boss IR2 is good for that too.

The Xpress is a great device i bought one and a Boss Kat go...to have a small rig for weekend campground music...Yes the USB cable doesn' t charge but its really a loud usb interface when hooked up to pc or tablet...for Looper before delay i need to try something..i also found i needed to work with the gain and presence and master volume and noise gate etc to get great tones...also used it with an EL 84 amp, stunning sound..next i add a Compressor and a booster to see what this does to it...( downside no compressor and no PC or Tablet ui ...Boss has it for 1/2 the cost ...😂😮
I just got the Pod Express this last weekend, I am enjoying it a lot. When I first got it I wanted to try out the USB C cable from my iPad Pro into the Pod Express for playing along with Guitar Pro files, iReal pro files, and music in my library. I found out that volume through USB C from iPads is at full volume, Apple intended the sound to be attenuated from the device it is sent to. After some manual reading I found out that there is a USB in volume level control in the global settings (page 27 of the English language version of the manual). It’s the 9th global setting, labeled USB in 1/2 trim and on page 31 of the manual it goes through all the colors of the lights that represent the 7 different levels from +6.0 dB down to -12.0 dB.
The Boss IR-2 would've been a better choice because it has a send and return that you can run a volume boost pedal for lead solos. The Line 6 Express doesn't have a separate channel or additional ports for pedals to increase volume. Plus unlike the Boss IR-2, the Line 6 Express doesn't have onboard EQ.
For some it might not be but for me it is. When I’m looping guitar parts I want some signal dry, for example a palm muted sound will sound washed off with heavy reverb that I can’t control!! It’s hard to explain this with texts lol I’ll make a video soon
Currently, the Reverb effect in POD Express is always after all other effects, and this issue causes unpleasant sound and inconvenience. I sent a support request to Line 6 and hope they will solve it soon.
How do I add delay to my second overdub on the looper when the same knob for the looper is tied to delay? When I turn it, it just turns off the looper. And can you really only loop for 30 seconds? This is my second day with the unit and I’m having a really hard time learning it and feel dumb because it’s supposed to be so easy and intuitive. I’m tempted to return it but something is telling me to keep at it
I see labels for bass/treble (EQ), but I'm guessing that EQ management is not sophisticated and requires button-deep-dive (BDD). The lack of effects loop will prevent me from considering this device (and line-6 cannot add an effects loop as a firmware update -- the I/O is not there). The Boss IR-2 has an effects loop, but I do not know if the return is stereo (nor if the out is stereo). If not, I would not consider the Boss IR-2. The HX-stomp (or pod-go, in my case) is rather portable, so I would see no point in the express, unless I'm taking a (traditional) pedal board -- and if you are taking a traditional pedal board, then you need the (stereo) effects loop, which is sort of a "catch-22".
This was never meant for what you need. If you need all the additional hook up options you need something different. This is Fantastic for what it was intended. 👍
@@timothy5974 Agreed. I am a huge line-6 fan, and I have the pocket-pod-express, which I still use when I travel and want to practice. I started with the GuitarPort (remember that? On windows-98! chuckle). I then got the pod-xt-live and held on to that until the pod-go came out. The pocket pod express did not have EQ/tone-knob (nor USB, but I'm ok with that). The new pod express apparently has EQ control (I see the labels). These things must have a rudimentary EQ control. Thanks!
