8:00 "We shove really really wide here, like 60%, 60%-65% hands. That's my guess, I'm really rusty". Had no hands myself today and ran this in ICMIZER: 58,61%. Fucking beast. Come back soon ol' chap.
thank you so much Tonka, I started playing $1 hypers on Ignition and really like the idea of making small raises when you're on the bubble and folding if the big stack over calls a shove by 2nd place. Makes perfect sense but sometimes you just need someone to plant the seed. Keep these coming :)
I was watching the WSOP europe 2017 there recently. The commentator was constantly saying people where looking for Tonka (in the chat). Now I can see why, you're a gent and a scholar. Keep it up.
Dude how can we ever thank you for this. You are such a legend. I just started working on my sit n go game as well. I called my dad and notified him that you are now daddy. Thanks ledge
Very good and education series, however, I feel it's going a bit too fast. During your stream it's okay because most people are just watching it for entertainment, but I believe an educational video series would benefit from going a bit more in depth with the analyses. I'm not a very good player and a good reg might disagree, but I think it would be better for the video if you went down to 3 or 2 tables and talked a bit slower.
moromann1 another way to see it is that you can build your way up to 4 tables. maybe even start with 1 or 2 tables to get the fundamentals out and give more details of situations. once that's over, then expand out to 3-4 tables and go over advanced strategy.
Perhaps you should use the playback speed function, or even the pause button. I think not being a good player is not the problem here. I think you are a fucking idiot.
You are absolutely AWESOME!!! Thank you so much for providing all these videos, I really really hope you keep this up. Every day I'm waiting for your video to come, it's so intelligent thought process while super entertaining and funny, thank you very much!
This is a miracle. I'm a new player and 6 man hyper turbos are my favorite. I'm hyped to see this series and your strategy. I already loved your content as it is!
Really enjoyed this,I like the logic of not shoving all in so you can fold and let the other two go for it.Also interesting to see you shove so wide, thanks.
I love how you're commenting much more formally being a video than if it were on stream. Great content btw. Probably watched these series like 10 times now. Crushing micro/low stakes atm. Keep them comming please
I checked tonkaaaa's stats for 2016 tournaments and sitngos, the guy made a fortune playing poker. Once finished 1/587 with $1000 buy-in making 109K. Great player indeed!
Amazing, just what the doctor ordered for me just recently started playing 1$ sit n go's and tried a few 3$ these vids are really gonna help me improve my strategy. Thanks man!
Hey tonka awesome to see you make something for us yt kids as well :D I think that making it 1 or 2 tables is better for this kind of strategy video as it gives more time to explain spots more in depth and the viewer also gets a better feeling of how aggresive or tight you really have to be once you see multiple hands in a row from a single table. Anyway love the videos and keep them coming.
i like the four handed plan, 2 tables will be boring because of the lack of hands, 4 tables means more hands to play therefore more things to comment on
Hey man, I've been successfully grinding 3$ hypers, and I'm really thankful to have found this video, i believe you're really gonna up my game. About the first strategy aspect you mentioned, the 2/3 stack raise from the button, being short stacked, in order to up the times you cash in the money. I really dug that, and will try to implement it but I didnt really understand why 2/3 of your stack. Would that work with, lets say 50% of the stack or maybe less? And what's the backup plan if theres a float and a fold? A sort of stop and go play where you shove 100% of the times on the flop? Thanks in advance! Keep up the good work
Yea I play these now for a while (very low buy-ins though for practice), but there is just another factor in it on how loose players can go to get a certain bounty.. Are you playing those in which the 1st and 2nd place both give you the same amount of money? And the bounty is 1/3th of the pay-outs of those 1st and 2nd place? Allthough 1st place gives you at least another 2 bounties (of your last opponent and your own bounty). Would love to see a video on those on what's the best strategy for them :)
great content man, learning a lot. maybe you could do mini series on different topics relevant in mtts and sngs. you deserve a lot more subs, you hellaa funny! cheers
I'd like more hyper turbo content. Curious about 3bet- folding and 3bet calling ranges in the early stages. Good video's , keep up the good work! Also curious about your ROI on like 100 dollar hypers
When you were starting out, did you use ICMizer? How do you know your opponent's calling ranges so well? In the micros there's so many different rec players and only a few regs who's ranges I'm familiar with. So shoving the sb with two small stacks isn't as good when calling ranges vary from 10%-70% in the same spot.
Hey, you talked about making a video about making a hud with good stats for 6max hypers. Have you done that? I cant seem to find that video on your video selection. If you havent, then get to it! Your vids are quality man! Congrats!
been playing hypers full time for a couple of years now, the downswings/running bad is like no other, i understand how you can never tilt playing 100k+ of theses
+Team NeverLucky What about A5o in the same spot? Is shoving 3bb there going to lose us money? is the idea that the SB will shove often enough and get called by the BB so we can fold K4o? Feel like such a noob. How the eff did you figure out all the sit n go strats? props
This is awesome. Can you breakdown your strategy stage by stage(blind sizes) in the next episode? Maybe only play 2 tables at a time? This is just lots of talking and quick decisions all happening at once. Still amazing though.
didnt you describe a spot where the SB and BB both go all in after you raise the button that you should not call it off, but then the exact spot arose when you had AQ and you called it off ?
