@@Hambone2k yeah I’m a Lakers fan, too. But times are changing, perspective is changing, I didn’t notice the disparity that much on the Kobe Lakers (even I know the Donoghy stuff is pretty out in the open). But these disparities are unheard of. It’s basically giving the Lakers a 10-15 point cushion each game.
People don't understand that it would only work if the players were in on it. They couldn't risk a scorned player tattling to the public. Besides, just the refs alone wouldn't always ensure the desired outcome of the game

They all have been apart of it, so they only tell you what they can, so they look like they're in the middle. So you can relate, and in return, tune in and listen. As soon as people understand that REAL basketball ends at college, there eyes will be opened and they'll finally understand what's going on around them. The NBA is an entertainment entity. It's not there for basketball. It's there to entertain.
@@softwareshinobi Maybe for select chosen superstars who are only playing college ball for ratings, yeah. But for the most part, I think that's real basketball being played, and at the highest level before they become entertainers in the NBA.
Now I honestly believe tela basketball stops at high school. Just take a look at bad beats Scott van pelt there's been plenty of fishy college game endings whether it be high profile blue blood teams or lower rated more obscure teams. Players rushing for a layup when game is over like their life depended on it despite the outcome of game already in place.

Don't fool us! The players are also aware, not just the refs and owners. The mafia influence the game. Just like the Nuggets vs the 76ers without Embiid, Maxey, Harris, Covington, Melton but the nuggets just win by 6. And now, the Celtics vs Lakers without LeBron and AD, the Celtics were down by 14 in the 1st half. The Celtics win the 2nd half perfect to grab the high odds in moneyline right?😂
I remember a regular season game between the Mavs and Lakers in the earlier Nowitski years. In the 4th quarter, I never saw a more lopsided game called by refs down the stretch in my life! It is not remembered, because it was not an important game. But the Lakers were playing aggressive defense and getting away with a lot of contact. The Mavs would get called for touches! I was also at the game that Tim Duncan got kicked out for laughing on the bench. I am a Mavs fan, and I knew that was b.s.!
The NBA is easily to spot they used to do that to the Mavs because of how Mark Cuban used to be antagonising the refs for they BS and Dirk was just becoming a AllStar he wasn't getting the respect yet I'm from Dallas I know
@@zztv15 Jerry Jones is hated by the NFL as much as they hated Mark Cuban. Honestly, the 2011 season only happened because of the Tim Donahue thing. The NBA was under scrutiny,so they were sure to call the games fair.
@slumped5876 it's more impressive. I like watching them recovering from the mess ups they do live. Debating in my head if what I saw was choreographed or improved.
@@MarrkDa1st the majority of people in USA want Mavs and EVERYBODY in Asia and Europe do. Also the NBA doesn’t want any series to be a sweep because it’s less games so they make less money and the product is boring Luka is fantastic for the marketability of the NBA, there is no one on Boston that’s charismatic. The only way to make Jayson Tatum likable is to constantly take pictures and videos of him when he’s with Duece. Also Dallas has the 5th biggest local nba market , while Boston has the 11th biggest local nba market While I do believe there is some serious math going on that determines different factors in the nba for them to us to try and achieve the most lucrative results, I don’t believe that it is “scripted” or “rigged” because many times the results aren’t favorable for the NBA financially. Manipulated sure it is but at the end of the day ball don’t lie
I know a bunch of professional sports bettors and whenever I ask why they don't bet NBA they tell me, because it's too difficult to predict who the refs have money on. This group has not bet NBA in over 10 years.
I noticed that too...especially with the MAVS and Timberwolves. To make it exciting I feel like somebody might pay the mavs to let the timberwolves come back from their deficit...just for ratings and promotion. Sad but true. Entertainment
Yesterday before the Nuggets/Wolves game commenced ticket sales for Nuggets/Mavs began to show up. Not the other way around, no Wolves/Mavs 1) Plant the seed in weak gamblers minds that theres a mistake with ticket sales, (better gamble on Denver) 2) Commentators hyping Denver into the 4th. Did you see how Eric Spoelstra pulled the starting lineup out when down by 10 with 1:30 seconds left of game 3 of the NBA finals 2023?? T-Mac was still in and hit 13 points in 33 seconds to win against San Antonio in the reg Season and now we have the starting lineup being pulled out with 1:30 seconds left in the NBA Finals....
@@gameimprovements4347 T-Mac scoring 13 pts in 33 seconds is a once in a lifetime thing. But dumb fans think it's going to happen every season multiple times. I do feel things are rigged but you somehow believe a group of role players on Miami were going to score 11 points in a min and a half while holding Denver scoreless? Use some common sense. Nuggets would have to miss multiple shots and then miss every free throw when the fouling starts.
All professional sports are rigged. There’s too much money involved. The more you look into it the more you’ll realize there’s too many coincidences that end up making this companies more money
Lebron is the “star” that Adam Silver has chosen to be the main character of the NBA “movie”. What do main characters in movies and TV shows get? Plot armor. How does the NBA give their “main character” plot armor? Look up the FTA disparity over the past 2 years… there’s your answer.
I knew the NBA back in 2018 (don’t quote me in the year I’m not sure) when the rockets faced the warriors in the playoffs they were up double digits going into half time then Harden pulled for 3 very early in the shot clock like 4 times in a row the lead eroded and the warriors ended up winning

calling Iverson for palming should of been a thing for his whole career he singlehandly ruined the game of basketball by making it normal now everyone does it now. people call it dribbling that is not dribbling
Palming sucks, but I don’t know how you’re forgetting what Iverson REALLY invented that truly did ruin the game - FLOPPING. Every layup he’d get slightly bumped and somehow he’d end up hanging in the rafters…
The Wolves did their job, taking out the Nuggets so Mavs wouldn't have to face them. Luka and Kyrie both have "all seeing eye" Illuminati tattoos. They're scripted to win it all this year. They need a new face and Luka is in his prime, plus he has the perfect story playing since he was 16
Maybe MLB should have rigged the playoffs in 2003. They could have had a Cubs - Red Sox World Series. They could have called fan interference on Steve Bartman and declared the batter out. It would have saved Bartman a lot of grief.
Nba is in the media business. Like disney they are there to entertain first and foremost. Everyone else is ultimately inconsequential to what the nba dictates. If not players and refs would be reprimanded, fined and especially fired in refs case, but they are not, because making terrible calls to rig games is part of their job.
Don’t forget they didn’t even try to hide it. All the news outlets and NFL twitter accounts were celebrating the fact that her presence in football would net them another 330 million plus in revenue 😂… it’s SUCH A JOKE!!!! It's been longer than that. Remember when the Seahawks threw the ball with the best powerback in the league on their team? You can't convince me somebody didn't tell Pete Carroll to throw it instead of run the ball.
Back in 20-25 years ago Bill Simmons was pointing out how the NBA assigned weak refs to aid home teams. The league is the primary rigger, not the gamblers.
Exactly what they just did with the Denver VS MN series. MN went up 2-0, then Nuggets started their comeback. Its 3-2 Denver lead now. They're obviously gonna win MN is too small of a fanbase they don't bring enough money to the league to win.

I feel like the first guy could've just said: "'What I know' is that I (The ref) watch all of my games in great detail and others from an outside perspective. Doing that "gives me an advantage" by the amount of detail I see by doing my job."
My personal opinion... Of course he had to be exonerated otherwise ALL the referees would potentially be in question. They couldn't risk having every fan having no confidence and run the risk of losing money when fans quit buying tickets.
I don’t think the NBA is rigged. But I do think they have a vested interest in seeing certain match ups and outcomes. It’s a business. And they definitely know what buttons to press to increase their profit margin.
So, it’s rigged then. That’s quite literally what being rigged means. It isn’t natural, is the point. And it goes way further than just seeing certain matchups. And seeing certain outcomes again, is being rigged.
@@StumbIingforward no, by “rigged” I mean the outcome is already pre determined like in wrestling. In pro sports like basketball I think they nudge things in the direction that they want things to go. But they don’t outright script the events and outcomes. I think if it was “rigged” the Lakers would still be in the playoffs. If it were truly rigged, teams like The Knicks would’ve seen way more success than they have. But that’s just my opinion.
@@rayneozier I get you man. And of course I can’t say for certain. I believe it’s fully rigged, and that the refs and even some players fully know it. I believe this about most professional sports, the reason for me is just how much money they’d always be leaving up in the air otherwise. I think both are true, they nudge probably more than anything, but they also script things out I think as well. I just learned about the Lakers free throws compared to other teams this year, and if what I was told are the right state it’s insane.
Watching game 6 or 7 recently with the Knicks I came to the conclusion the NBA is rigged. Obvious intentional turnovers by the Knicks and Jalen Brunson getting pulled out due to a hand injury.. 🤕
@@ianweir3608 This is my best guess. The radar technology is in the ball and the jesuits with the controller just press "miss" or "make" button based on the predetermined script for that particular game. The players have nothing to do with (missing or making). Their job is just to put the ball in the air in a shooting motion and the radar technology does the rest. This is how the jesuits rake, or more specifically, this is how the vegas jesuits rake off the bettors 100% of the time. It's an infallible system, corrupt and evil, designed to reap the majority profits from the bettors while paying back the minority. Without this technology there could be no script writers and no predetermined outcomes that later(during the game) get translated into reality. You see if they left it up to people, whether the players or the coaches, mistakes could and would still happen and that would threaten their power structure because they wouldn't profit at a 100% clip. There could be downswings and variance. So in stead of relying people and the mistakes that come with it, they rely on their infallible "technology" instead. So in simple english, they are profiting off of deceiving the people.
I think people don't want to throw these two players (As well as Shaquille O'Neal; 04' Pistons; David Robinson and Tim Duncan) under the rigged context bus because at the end of it they have great last minute games under their belts and you have to respect the work ethic and they have to make the shot. None of what these players did on court looked easy to do often.😎
@@ianweir3608this is true but you see tho this is also part of the script, the nba and refs influence these games via small foul calls etc and will keep the game close ALLOWING one of the leagues superstars to go ahead and take that game winning shot to add to their legend… if they make it or not that’s genuinely up to the player… but you have to be an absolute blinded dunce to not see just how blatantly bullshit the refs foul calls get to keep it close
On a parlay bet, I need Jamal Murray to score 22 points to win $50K. He had 19 with 2 minutes left in the 3 quarter. He finished the game with 19 points. I was so angry....my blood was unable to move. My girl tried everything to get it up but to no avail. I'm glad she's trans because she's had that experience where everything I did wasn't able to get her hard.
The NBA is not 100% rigged. They of coarse push certain players and teams to succeed to produce favorable results for the NBA. The NBA is a big business so of their ultimate goal is to grow the business and its profits. This is why the “play-in” tournament is a thing now. Lakers and Goldenstate bring in a lot of revenue and the NBA makes sure they atleast make the playoffs to maximize its profits, or at the least put them in “big stake” games. When the face of the NBA retires (Lebron/Curry) they need another golden face to push profits. So they make point of efficence to make favorable calls for star players.
David Stern was smart with this. Basically the NBA found out the FBI was investigating Tim and really everyone. NBA decided to come out first and put the blame solely on Tim. Essentially "lone gunmen" type stuff. Instead of denying it and/or having more refs get caught, they just isolate Tim and make it seem like he was doing this solo.....Guys, he would call Scott Foster 5,6,7 times a day!. No one is calling their spouse that much let alone another dude who is a friend.
I was watching game 4 of mavs vs wolves and at half time they were already promoting game 5💀 I honestly watch WNBA at least the rigging isn’t as strong yet lol
You could leave out the low-key, all sports have a script. I just watch it for what it is, pure entertainment and past time. Fans are unable to do that b/c they watch with strings attached
That amount of money, yes, it is rigged. NBA is a lot easier cause calling some fouls here and there fixes the point spread. 100% agree with them talking about point there, and there. Just gotta give it out to all the players randomly. Ain't gotta take them out of the game, just fix the point by a little. It makes it less obvious. You just seem like a bad ref. My question is, is there something like what the MLB has for umps? Where you can see the calls and how bad an ump is. Except in NBA referee terms? Someone out there checking all the calls made and whether they got it wrong or right. How often they are. A percentage of a perfect referee to what that referee is? Compared across all referees.
That is a damn good question, as it is just empirical measurement. Percentage of bad calls by a specific ref would be a very telling statistic. Please post it here if you’ve found it 👍🏽
You may have to do those analytics yourself, or write a program specifically to do it for you. Either way, the MLB had this same situation with Pete Rose decades ago. I've been watching basketball and baseball for thirty two years. The sports gambling has been around at least for that long if not longer. It was just a LOT more underground because there weren't all the betting sites that make it way easier.
