I have had two chihuahuas both male. I had one as a child and teen then my husband bought one for my 21st and we had him for 13 years. It’s been 3 years since he passed and now we are ready for a new puppy. I can’t wait. I love chis.
I just picked up a little chihuahua. 13 weeks old and she weighs 1.5 lbs, she’s so tiny. She wears the smallest kitten collar available and plays with cat toys. Her favorite is a crinkle toy in the shape of a fish that has catnip inside. 😄 Her breeder had her on NutriSource small/medium puppy, so I’m keeping her on that for the time being.
Loved the video! Your little baby is so sweet 🖤 our little guy is about 3 months and just weighs 1.3 lb (600 grams) so he’s set to be a tea cup chihuahua I guess but we love him! We were lucky because he was already almost 100% pee pad trained when we got him, and he sleeps through the whole night in his crate. He can’t go up and down the stairs or couch/bed so we have to get him a ramp soon. He also can’t do our stairs so he’s stuck upstairs unless we carry him. One tip about food I noticed the photo you posted was grain free, which was recommended to us but then our vet told us that dogs need grain and it’s kind of a fad that all these grain free brands are coming out. She said as long as there’s no health condition they need grains in their diet to help with their glands (whatever that means- something to do with their lil butts lol) we use blue Buffalo as well but they suggested ACANA and said in their 15 years they’ve never seen a recall for that brand. Purina is known to have recalls often and law suits from pet owners so before you switch be sure to look into that, as I’ve always heard it’s not worth the risk. We also feed our little dude chicken mixed with cooked carrots, sweet potatoes and rice! He loves it and still eats his kibble.

Awww congrats on your new teacup!! Ours was 5 lbs at her last appointment but I think she put on a little weight! I would say 6-7 now but she's still so little! :)
Hi Chris, my chihuahua Lucie is 5months. She’s pretty good going on the training pad when she’s in the 4x4?playpen. When she’s roaming around the house she misses all the training pad I lays out. How did you get Selena to go to the door when she needs to go? I dreamt for Lucie to do that! Any suggestion help! Thanks
There is actually no such thing a actual breed of teacup that is just a word peeps use for years. Breeders use that term to people who don't really know to take advantage
