I’m glad that my… somewhat tiny dog enjoys it. I love snuggling with him, and whenever I put him down he’ll immediately try and get me to pick him up and love on him again lol.

Yeah. I’m stressed to go outside with my chihuahua. I have social anxiety and people just can’t leave us alone!!!! Everyone has to comment on how cute he is, has to ask his name or age. Why does it matter? I just wanna be left alone and my dog too. He is super friendly but he doesn’t care for strangers, he just won’t even acknowledge them. That’s how much he’s tired of this constant attempts to pet him.

When they said they don't walk her because " it's such a chore" and "she's not a man's dog" I rolled my eyes. However this couple seem really lovely and love Alison and actually listen to Victoria and take on her advice. I wish more owners were like them

What does it mean “I don’t walk her every day because that would feel like a chore” WHAT? I walk my chihuahua at least 30 minutes a day. Sometimes he doesn’t wanna walk or it’s a bad weather. It is a chore but I also walk myself so it’s nice that my dog makes me go outside 😄 It’s also a chore to wash my dog, feed him, play with him a lot, etc. and I do all that because I love him.

I definitely don't blame tiny dogs for being nervous or fearful. Imagine being that small and surrounded by giant individuals that could so easily stomp you or just pick you up, and anything you do about it, even the hardest of bites or snarls can be dismissed as "cute". Our chihuahua loved nestling under pillows and blankets, probably to burrow and feel safe.

Victoria's stellar skills shone even more brightly in this episode. That bark could shatter glass, but she's just a wee little thing and so scared. And every dog deserves to be walked - isn't that one of the best things about having a dog? I remember finally getting my first dog at age 46, and taking her for our first walk. It was the best.

It really is I have a chi/corgi mix and he’s the sweetest boy ever. Loves to snuggle and play and loves going for hikes and walks. People just need to respect small dogs space and understand how small they are and how that affects them and they can be excellent dogs!

I have a shichi and she never barks ,she is well behaved and very smart. People just dont understand chihuahuas. they have a bad rep becuase so many bad owners who dont socialize their dog. They keep them cooped up. @isabellemcgeachie663

Yeah, he still had some of the machismo typical on this show ("not a man's dog"), but at least they owned up to their failings without defensive resistance.

How isn't it illegal to NOT walk your dog??? Here in Sweden you get fined for not walking your dog every day, and in worst case the authorities will take your dog away from you. Why even get a dog if you won't even bother tending to it's most basic needs🤨

@ravenonyx122 Well, you could know a dog lived there by hearing barking from inside. Also the dog will need to be taken out for potty so maybe they go outside to the driveway for example. But no walks.

My dog very small and anxious. She really hates to see other dogs around. She picked a fight with a German Shepherd at the vet once and nearly lost her face to his jaws. Given her size and the size of a German Shepherd, if it came down to a fight she would surely become a chew toy or worse: his dinner

I have a little Chiweenie … he’s kind of a nervous kind of dog.. it takes him awhile to get used to new people.. some dogs he does fine around and some dogs he’s doesn’t.. now he loves his people.. He thinks he has to keep an eye on me all the time… he’s a momma’s boy.. I can’t believe these people didn’t walk their dog everyday.. did she just potty in the house.. my little dog will come and tell me when he has to go out ..

I don't like the "small dogs don't need walks" myth. The only thing that's right in is that they'll likely be fine with 1 spin around the block rather than 3, it's definitely true that walks are just as much about enrichment as exercise.

Peter's reminding me of a time when I was a kid and my uncle took me, my siblings and cousins out to a hike and we took our chihuahua. At some point we saw a playground and left my uncle in charge of the little one so we could play. When we came back to him he had tied up our dog to a tree and sat a safe distance away, probably afraid my 2 kilo dog would threaten his masculinity.

I had 4 small dogs like her & l found you just have to leave her alone , keep her food & water therel for her & just ignore her then she'll want attention tell her off & talk to her let her know what you want explain things to her just like you would a child, they are very smart, my dogs get told off when they wrong & l find they love you to explain what is going on, they will love you more, & play with her gently she will grow more wise try this you should have seen my dogs ( kids) very smart

I have balinese local dog super smar dog but if shes stay at home whole day she will get suppers stress. But when i takecher our she s so happy cos she love to go put and enjoy the mama nsture and meet another dogs So if you have dogs and put them ins8de house 24 hours they stress out

My chihuahua is not like that, put in the training. Size was never an issue! I treat it just like my terrier and German Shepherd. I’m not above correcting behaviors that are undesirable! Set your boundaries and teach them what you accept and don’t. Cute doesn’t get you privileges. We go on runs daily. 4-7 miles.

An honest question from a balanced dog trainer.... Why do you think it is that EVERY SINGLE show from Victoria uses a dog that is highly motivated by food when less than half of dogs are motivated by food.??? THINK!!! I WONDER... what does she do with dogs that are NOT motivated by food??? And yet, Victoria, hired more for her ability as an actress, than as a dog trainer, is the EXPERT!!! HAHAHAHA!!! If you want REAL results with your dog, for an results-oriented happy life with your dog... IMHO... seek out a competent balanced dog trainer, not a highly edited, and highly produced TV production. A Chihuahua is a MANLY dog??? Oh please... in what world are you living??
