@@g04tn4d0 you can tell if a car like that has been ragged out. If the suspension and transmission still feel tight and theres no curb rash on the wheels and pieces of rubber covering the under carriage, whats the problem? There are people that buy brand new C8s and they end up in the shop within the first year lol. I have friends with those problems. The only reason you should ever waste money on a new car is if the interest rate is enticing enough to do it. Only a moron would buy a brand new vehicle full price and spend 6-8% interest on it
That's on the buyer accepting these high rates. FInance companies. Mortgage lenders and especially credit card company interest rates are out of control. Ford currently has lower interest rate offers depending on your credit rating. You don't have to use Ford credit, so shop around for the best rate or hold off buying a car. I've obtained lower interest rates financing through credit unions.
@@DWH300 -- I agree, yet this was all intentional - by the private central bank that often controls most of Planet Earth! Crazy? AMMIRHGT? I mean if the last 3+ years were not a clue, what is!
@@DWH300 yes, patience is a virtue. every consumer should price and compare. most importantly i recommend people to buy what they can afford. but definitely @DWH300 you bring great wisdom.
new GTs with PP1/PP2 are money! Though the late model Mach 1 or Dark Horse with 6SPD Tremec could be heaven? Travel safe! No need to race to heaven, it will arrive in time.
@@alexv5581i would’ve got 17500$ for it. But only got 16000$ because I had an engine issue. I only had like 42000 miles on it, I bought it fresh off the lot too. Got the GT for 45000$. I still owed 7000$ on the other vehicle, so they subtracted the difference on the new vehicle.
People felt the same way about the 2015 mustang GT until it was out for awhile pretty much some people don't like change until they have no choice but to deal with it
really liked this video. 6 months really allows you to assess the vehicle. Also like your comments on why it may not have taken off yet, as price point is high. But so is tge price of after market when you include labor and the problems that can come up. Ready to roll sounds great to me. Your event sounds like alot of fun. Alas its East Coast, but will be watching that day for sure.
@@user-my4xu4gf1znot around a track. Dark Horse beat the M2 CS around Throttle House’s test track. Plus the Dark Horse sounds and looks way better, and the manual is better too. The only BMWs faster around a track are the M5 CS and M4 CSL.
@@The-fs5wn for 1. Who cares about millisecond differences on track times when it loses by a bus length too the m2 and would lose by 2 football fields too a m3 or m4 xdrive. Also the m2 cs is 5 years old the new m2 cs hasnt came out yet 😂 😂..Dark horse hasn't even posted a nurumbring lap time. I just looked it up and it has absolutely 0 times from real professional drivers for me to compare it to the new m2 or m3 or m4 competition. Also I guarantee a m3 cs would obliterate it around a track same goes for the m8 comp. If u think this looks better then the new m3 or m4 I feel bad for ya lmao. Teenagers drive mustangs 😂 much rather have a bmw M car. Way more head turning. Look up "adro g82 m4 competition blue" there's so many aftermarket things u can do to a m3 or m4 that make it looks a million times better then the slow dark horse 😂 also a simple valve opening would make the m3 and m4 sound just as good if not better.
@@The-fs5wn yea becuase track times matter. Also the m2cs is a 6 year old car bro lmfao. Also the m3CS and m8 comp are also faster then the darkhorse around a track. In a straight line even a freakn m2 is faster. That's what daily drivers care about
Seems like some nice upgrades over the last gen Mustang GT, but I still think getting a used 2018 GT with Performance Package and Recaro seats is a better value. Do u think it's worth paying double the price for a Dark Horse?
So for 20 grand, you get an appearance package and a tune? I just drove a S650 GT Premium Night Pony edition with performance pack, and it had nearly all the same stuff this had (stock) for only $54k.
I'm really hoping that there will be something to replace those buttons in the aftermarket in the future. I just miss mine right now, in storage another couple months.
You really didn't get "full service" at that gas station. They didn't check your tire pressures as I saw the low tire pressure light on. Did they also check your oil and wiper washer fluid levels? I remember what "full service stations" were and they don't exist anymore.
I bought a 2017 Manual Performance Pack about 9 months ago now and I love it.. I found a beautiful 1 owner 17 Garage Kept, it was traded in at a chevy dealer.. I bought it and about a month later people started getting their 2024's.. But as far as buyer's remorse, I have none. Bought the car with cash so I didn't get taken.. It's not fully loaded but it has the Steak and Potato's being that it is the Performance Pack GT. I have opened up the exhaust a little with an Xpipe along with an axle back.. And in doing a few different Mod's I probably added 20 HP n shed 35lb's off the car that weighed 3,650 stock so she moves out pretty good on 93 without a tune.. I blew my savings and pulled half the money for the car, from my retirement so it will be years before I throw boost at it, if I even do.. But anyway the 2024's are starting to grow on me.. I still don't like the back tail lights though..
I only got one because of the forged rotating assembly, tranny, and half-shafts. I want to make power and not have to worry about it coughing up a rod. Day 1 of ownership I ordered the 3.0L Whipple. Waiting for it to arrive at the Stealership. Probably still another month out.
I traded my 2019 stingray with 7 speed manual for the GT 6 speed manual. I love corvette, but this car can really cook. You can feel it. I almost got two hundred miles on mine. It’s a great car, fun driving experience!
I Purchased a 2022 mustang gt 5.0 premium 401A black on black w/ 1700 miles, $48k from bridgewater Acura in N.J, i have no complaints about my car, love the exhaust, and its a hea d turner
So, you are saying that only the Dark Horse has those track apps? Now the numbers on that dyno test with the Whipple... that car does have long tubes on it.... so there is some extra power there. The fact they didn't need to retune after a pulley change really surprised me. It shows how good the Whipple tune is. Glad you are happy with your purchase. The interest rates are going to keep sales down. Maybe dealers will finally get rid of the ADM to move some cars. Looking forward toseeing thee future for you car!
StangMode Great Video I think it's awesome that you've had a 6 months with Papa Smurf and Darth Vader and I can't wait to see what the future for S650 Mustangs has in store
Would be interested in what other models are coming out. Are they going to have a GT500? If not, I'm looking for one that is a couple of years old. They are reasonable for pricing now and a beast!
I live in Vancouver Canada. Yesterday it was down to the low gas warning so a 1/4 of a tank. To fill it up cost me $110. Man would love to fill up for $50.
Write your criminal politicians. There is no gas shortage. The gangster European bankers and ruling class has hijacked oil & gas distribution that's why you're paying so much. What if gas stations could get oil from Venezuela and other countries without being killed by the United States & England it would be fair trade. You're just a bunch of slaves.
I just paid off my 2021 CX5, I got it as a future family car (gonna have wife popping out a kid soon) but I really want just a ME car. It’s between this or a Challenger RT. The thing is, the interior of a challenger is just so trash. This looks like a nice overall package. I think I might pull the trigger. I could start financing it and definitely pay it off in 2 years.
Dooooooo it!! I want this car as well! If I had the cash to do it now, I would. I'm a father as well. We need our toys lbs. My homie just ordered a Vet z06. That's way more than what we want, but we have one life to live, just live it.
I love my 19' GT, but Mustangs and especially the Dark Horse, are too expensive for being essentially a GT. I paid $37K for a base model A10. Essentially my car was 41K including 19x10 wheels, 285/35/19 tires, lowering springs, digital cluster, 8" infotainment. In my area, the only other Shadow Black mustang was a GT premium A10 (non performace pack) for $45K. So i am very happy with the price range I was at.
I like the Dark Horse, but still happier that I got my ‘22 GT500 for only 10k more than a DH. IMO worth the difference. I haven’t tried a DH on the road track but can’t imagine it’s going to be a better experience than the Shelby. If ford comes out with a new Mustang version that’s more affordable than the GTD but similar/better performance than my GT500 then I’ll reconsider
@@drx1xym154 Ford was shooting for more of a refined experience apparently. Engineer said during an interview that the dual clutch keeps unwanted motion during cornering.
@@drx1xym154 I have the 2020 GT500. I can understand why they went with the DCT, but to your point, a manual option should have been available. Personally, if I had a choice, I think I still would have gone with the DCT. NGL, I do paddle shift it a lot :)
I wish us 2020-2023 GT500 owners could get an update to include the rev feature!!! Stangmode, since you have to connections, PLEASE!?!? .... with sugar on top (Pulp Fiction reference there)! If only the US manufacturers could get with what Mercedes E class owners get for a touchscreen... I would 100% be in with that. I am liking the rear.. growing on me as with the GTD. Look for loans to come down last half this year.
Hey there I finally became a c8 owner and want to tell the truth to both you and your viewers. Seen the Dark Horse on the street in person and the rear view the tail lights as well is fantastic! and the car looks better more compact in person than on any video. The sound is good breathing great. Dry weather handling very good sticky, driver feedback of info and confidence inspiring not so good. Sure with a supercharger will be much better
@youcdtube I have to ask. Do you live in an area where it's cold and snows? Do you drive your C8 in the winter? The few C8 and C7 owners I know rarely use their Vettes in the winter. I'm also curious how you know how a Dark Horse handles if as you stated. You were seeing them driving on the streets. Have you actually driven one? My extended test drive in a handling package 6 speed Dark Horse with the handling package, it's new steering rack and Magna Ride was amazing to drive while adding stopping power from the massive Brembo brakes that Motor Trend said rivaled Supercars stopping distances. The NA Gen 4 Coyote also provided excellent performance while the Getrag transmission provided smooth rev matching shifts. Regarding the summer performance tires. Ford recommends like other manufacturers. These type of tires can lose traction when temperatures fall below 50'F. I loved the Dark Horse from it's overall exterior design. Fantastic digital screens. Comfortable interior to it's refined daily driver sports car demeanor, but because I need a full size vehicle. I've decided my next new vehicle will be a refreshed 2025 Explorer ST when available late 2024. I'm hoping when it's time to replace my wife's vehicle. She'll enjoy sn automatic Dark Horse.
It’s a clean ass car. Mean n clean. I love the 5.0 and they got everything right mechanically. It is expensive af sum I can’t afford rn. In a year these cars will be out there pushing 1200+ on the streets easy. They will be fast once it’s all out there
Thought the same chevy didn't have a ton of upgrades I got the red seat belt carbon fiber inside I'm looking at stangs than the m4 70k is not far off from a m4 comp 😂
As nice as it is, it’s still never gonna be a GT350. That motor is on another level! Now don’t get me wrong, but the GT350 walks the DH. Still two good looking cars, it’s just the Shelby has more sexy.
It is unfortunately just not worth the price of 75k. Not when the Zl1 is still available and you are knocking on the door of BMW m3 pricing. And a BMW m2 can be had forothermid 60k. There is just no value in the Mustang Dark Horse or Mustang for that matter. If they redid the entire car with a brand new platform and had cut the weight by 500 lbs, since it is a fatstang, then maybe. But they didn't do enough to differentiate from the S550. Heck, you can find C8 for the price or cheaper than one of these. It's just hard to buy one of these when there are so many other good options. The Mustang is no longer the value buy.
I love mustangs and I’ve owned several 5.0s myself. The new s650 is way overpriced and it’s kept me from buying one. I make plenty of money so that’s not the issue. I just feel ford like other manufacturers have out priced themselves
Got 7% interest rate on my 19 gt I got in 22 annoyed I’m paying $120 of interest a month with my payment! $357 total payment just annoying amazing credit dosent matter! I saw 1.9%apr on 60months for new mustangs was Thinking about getting one then but it’s already gone
These cars can look good. Like what RTR did and I think I seen a Saleen that was pretty cool. But the way they come stock isn't doing for me, especially the GT. Dark horse is slightly better. I can work around the grill with something aftermarket but I still hate that they got rid of the body lines and made the door and fender more smooth. It looks cheap. Just my 2 cents
StangMode interest rates means nothing. I paid 75k+ for my Dark Horse. I gave the dealer CASH. I've only had mine 1 months, but no buyer remorse whatsoever. Only 294 miles on it and 175/180 was driving home from the dealership. But I love it 💯. Much more than my other 2 mustangs "2000 GT, & 2008 GT
Some people may have the cash, but can't justify just dumping it all right away and not keeping some of it as an emergency fund. Everyone's situation is different
@@mistamaog This...this right here. TONS of people have the cash, they choose not to spend it on a depreciating asset. I paid cash for my C8 Corvette, and it didn't mean anything. LOL.

HEY STANGMODE!...GREAT REVIEW OF THE 2024 S650 DARK HORSE!...NOW, HAVE YOU HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THE COMING 2024 S650 SALEEN S302 BLACK LABEL AND THE 2024 S650 SHELBY AMERICAN BUILT SHELBY MUSTANG COMING SOON?...I AM JUST SAYING!...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND GOD BLESS AMERICA! 😇
I have a 2021 GT base 10r80 355rear gear, bought new for 40k. Like the S550 and l do think the S650 is appealing however, base @ 46k, premium @ 58k, rag top @65k, way over priced & Dark Horse @ 75k ridiculous. Ford has in my opinion priced the 2024 Mustangs out of the market, their not moving off dealer lots in my local area. I've owned 5 mustangs, '65, '71, '05 & 2 '21's which were purchased new & prices were reasonable, I'll stay with the '21 S550 & continue to invest in reasonable upgrade mods. I enjoy the channel, your doing a great job. Peace!
I've looked at a Race Red base Dark Horse Mustangs starting at $61,000..Base GTs starting at $41,000. No markups. The reason the Mustangs sales are slow is due to it being winter with factory tires that are terrible in cold weather plus the high Automotive financing interest rates. Depending on your credit rating. Ford Credit is currently offering low rates and lease rates on many Ford vehicles. Unfortunately other lenders are averaging 9% to 14% and higher interest rates again depending on your credit rating. Here's a Dark Horse in my Area (DC ) still nicely equipped. Click all the options on a Dark Horse and your going to $70,000. The same applies to a loaded GT premium where your looking at the upper $50,000. I looked at a couple left over 2023 GTs premiums and they're at $50,000 *$61,650 KOONS PRICE*
My local dealer got 5 new GT's (4 of them premium) all but one over 50k msrp, since October last year only 1 has sold. Nobody in my area seems to want the new cars. I personally special ordered my '23 after the reveal knowing I wasn't gonna want the '24 and beyond for many, many reasons (locked ECU, horrible looking ipod dash, Camaro like body lines, stupid price increases).
Very cool cars, enjoyed the ride on these S650's, more so on the Dark horse, but they are way out of my price range, but to honest S550's are out of my price range, I will stay with my 04 New Edge Mustang GT. I think you should get Black Mamba out of moth balls dust her off and do some vids.
Im a 2015 GT owner who was looking to upgrade who has been kinda disappointed with the s650. For me, it's just not different enough to justify the VERY high price. Then there were some really questionable decisions. The worst of all being the increased weight. I remember complaining about the s550 weight but the s650 is approaching Dodge Challenger weight. Weight just hurts everything. I also really dont like the gloss black lipstick on the Gt's front bumper. Then there's the Dark Horse. I like the look of the DH but again...its not different enough to justify the price. It's basically a Mach 1 replacement thats significantly more money. The name Dark Horse is also bizarre. A screaming 5.0 v8 is not a "dark horse". That name and definition make far more sense for the Mach E. The emblem is kinda uhhhhh girly... just looks like something my gf in middle school wouldve drawn. Idk. Hopefully there's some cooler models coming out but im sure they'll be approaching 911 territory in terms of cost... it may be time for me to move on from Mustang but we'll see.
The screens aren't the big issue, Its the slapping them on the dash like an afterthought, It will Never grow on me and I Hope Ford encloses it at minimum in the future,or I guess I will never one Also to ad,75k YIKES ,I thought my 2024 2SS 1LE M6 with performance data recorder &red seatbelts (with car cover added) was Ridiculous at $57,880 ,BUT 75K Holy $hit ,No way I'd pay that for a Darkhorse ,Car prices went Stupid ,I hope as they come down Manufacturers will also msrp cars back to what they should be ...FJB
They are only given one dark horse to a dealer pretty much unless another dealer says no almost all of them are going for markups and they're only 500 pathetic horsepower nothing but a suspension package with the computer screens for a dashboard and as far as the dealer installed supercharger coming up can you imagine the markup on the supercharger and the installation
Yeah mine was 75K as well but hey so far I’ve been having fun with the dark horse. I sold my 2018 for the dark horse and I haven’t regretted my choice. The price point is where the problem really is
I just don't see that big of a difference between the Mach1 and the Dark Horse to warrant the extra $. Mach1 with performance pckg check marks all the boxes both with looks and coyote durability and tunability, etc.
