Was going to say I don’t dirt bike or anything but I thought they had multiple layers of film on the goggles and ripped away layers as they got covered in whatever to reveal a new clean one and be able to keep riding with taking practically no time to do that way they can keep on racing without slowing

At least, in competitive races in nascar, pilot use layers of plastic fim on their visors, so when the visorr gets dirty, they can take off the layer and see clearly again.

Those have been around since the 90s no one uses them because the string can get stuck the visor gets jammed halfway it doesnt clear the visor fully and somehow theyve made little changes with it and the motor is exposed and can easily rust or break thats why they still use traditional tear offs

These have literally been out for 25 years. I used these racing in 2000-2001 and they weren't new then. In fact most racers prefer tear-off protectors for most races, however roll offs are better for long or extremely muddy races.

You know what would really be cool? If the visor filament could be fed from a small spiral backpack into the helmet via some sort of bendable track, and the the dirty filament went back into another small spiral backpack. Even crazier than that would be a version that constantly changes the visor in and out from the track system and washes/dries it so that you never have to change it out unless it breaks.

I had an idea, but I don't know if it would be possible. A motocross helmet in which the visor of the goggles rotated around the helmet inside it. It would have to be a thicker helmet, and the visor would have to be more symmetrical to rotate inside it. At the ends of the goggles there would be a string with a retractable mechanism to pull the visor.
