Most Mormons don't care until the most orthodox member jumps in to remind them that they're supposed to care (e.g. the "Ohhh" moment when Caleb called it) because their prophet recently said that the word "Mormon" is a literal victory for Satan. @vorpal22
@vorpal22 Год назад
@Hailey Allen While the LDS is better than many other Christian denominations / groups by the virtue that they accept that some people simply have same-sex attraction and that it is not something that can be changed and that attempts to do so are harmful, the official LDS stance is: "The experience of same-sex attraction is a complex reality for many people. The attraction itself is not a sin, but acting on it is." So, basically, the church believes that gay people should live lives of misery, bereft of mutual human love and affection. While you might love gay people, the church's stance certainly isn't very LOVING towards gay people if they would condemn them to that fate. Imagine someone telling you that your ability to share, experience, and receive love was something for which you deserved disciplinary action if you acted upon it, and being forced to choose between your beliefs coupled with a life of loneliness and never knowing the loving embrace of a partner or choosing to have to give up your beliefs in order to be with someone you love. No matter how you frame it and how much you love gay people, it's still terrible.

My fiance and his family were raised mormon and they have began drifting away from the church. Unfortunately there are so many terrible things hidden from members in the church. On the inside it seems like it's about love but it's conditional love. If you're gay, they don't accept you. If you're not mormon, they don't accept you. They only help each other. Even their own children will be disowned in many cases if their children admit they no longer wish to be apart of the church. It;s truly sinister in many ways and even if it was truly a real religion, the present prophets and priests certainly are liars who only care about the money tithings give to them
