Love your tanker train , and reminds me of day when me and my driver were using a class 25 to shunt a TTA tanker wagon (being used as a water tanker for the railways steam locos )and we stopped but the load in the tanker was only half full ,so even though we were stopped the load hadn't and a bit frightening as the tanker kept bagging in to our loco and it was yours truly who had to un hook the tanker 😂 that's very interesting about the German loco buffers ,yes you diffantly learn something new every day.

I’m a great fan of Mainline Wagons, Of which I have many here in Western Australia, But recently, I bought about 15 Mainline Wagons from a friend only to find he had converted them to Kdees. Do you know from your vast Knowledge of Mainline equipment any place I could buy any Mainline Couplings? Ther is not a great deal of mainline equipment here in Perth Western Australia.
