I must have been playing a different CORE. The one I played was a bunch of amateur freemium games.

Ok.. so to sum Core up : it is Unreal Engine 4 Lite with a Second Life like hub where 99% is behind the paywalls … and a community library of game demo’s.

So it is Roblox with a different skin. My 4 year old is obsessed with Roblox.

Does it dip into procedural mechanics? I've been interested in a few of these build your own game things since LBP but I need something that goes into random or procedural generation.

Played it for way too long for it to stay empty for as long as it did...

Can I make a Fable-like MMO or am I limited to team based pvp?

It sucks to say, but the more gamer-oriented content I delve into the more and more I see it being proven that gamers are some of the most entitled people. Obviously that doesn't mean every gamer is, and I'm not saying this in an effort to justify some of the shitty things publishers and sometimes studios do for the sake of a quick buck, but the line between justified outrage at being ripped off and being an entitled piece of whiney goop isn't really all that thin. Related, it's funny how many of people in this comments section were or at least pretend they were big fans of WC and Jules in particular, but the fact he would dare voice an ad, one he probably had to because he was told to by his boss because it's his job, well... That's just a step too far for these guys. Now they're displeased and they're going to whine ineffectually in the hopes that you'll learn never to do this type of thing again even though it won't really change a god-damned thing, because business is business and let's be real, even if these guys did unsubscribe or stop watching WC videos--which they won't--that potential loss of revenue is nothing compared to the money they got from hosting this video in the first place. Still, they'll whine and complain, because their entitlement tells them that their miniscule contributions to the WC revenue are what really keeps the wheels turning, and by gosh they'll make them pay for being sell outs! Even though they'll keep watching the videos and definitely won't hit the subscribe button a second time. I doubt many are even gonna bother with reading this, but it gets annoying seeing these same overly indulged overly entitled fuckbois on every piece of gaming related content.

Honorable Mention: It's called "Core". So you just need to be "hard" to be able to say, that you're a "hard Core gamer". Jokes aside, I play JRPGs and ARPGs and Hack 'n Slash games and stuff of that sort. I also like to pay for a game and its expansion packs/DLCs and just play it. Not a fan of stuff being locked behind a paywall. I also like to have some quality with my games. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure this thing can be a fun tool for people, that want to dabble into making games, but then again, I do think, that stuff like "RPG Maker" is much better for that. Because I don't see how you can make full games in this thing. It all looks more like "short demos". which is fine, but not what I'm after. And you can make full-fat amazing games with RPG Maker (just look at Vampire's Dawn 1 and 2). So....no. I don't think, that "all gamers should try Core". Also, 1:20 "why such an idea is brilliant for the consumers". Whenever a company revers to you as a consumer, you are just revenue in their books. And don't get me wrong. That is ultimately what we all are. But being referred to as such by a game developer makes me instantly think, that they don't do this thing "for gamers", but "for money". Still, love you guys. Stay safe. Don't forget to love each other.

I dont get all the hate this video is getting. The title tells you this is an Ad for Core. They tell you in the beginning that this is sponsored. Idk how this is any different from a streamer or youtuber doing a sponsored video. Which, if you have a problem with sponsored videos... then I dont think you understand how money works. As far as complaints about Core... eh it's better than roblox... so... there's that.
