I paid only 14$ on the ETN local bus service to Queretero ( luxury bus) from San Miguel Mx a 1.5 hour ride opposed to having to pay $100 usd for taxi service. Ive rode buses in a lot of U.S cities and I was a lot less on guard in Mexico. It was relaxing.

My wife and I retired in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. We love it. I even started a youtube channel to help spread the word. You don't have to struggle in the US in retirement. Been rocking with you since the early T-Shirt Riches days. Keep it up, more people need to know!

What visa are you on? I had to choose Kenya because Tanzania was difficult to settle long term. Not enough info, legal fees, visa runs and so...

@@kingmelanin7468 I am on investors residency because I own a business here. But I am also eligible for the retirement residency which is $500 every two years.

@@kingmelanin7468 On investment residency right now. But retirement residency is easier. $500 for two years and no runs to the border every 90 days.

Great content as usual! Motivated me to look at my expectations again. While affordable living comes in very high, quality of life is equally important. It's good to clarify those needs.

$850 a month for a bedroom is a great deal. 1 bedroom in LA/So Cal easily $2500+

I was in San Miguel de Allende Mexico last week and I discovered hills upon hills to climb which was worth it for me because I was able to get some of the best views of the city. It was fabulous and the architecture was awesome. I went to Queretero Mx as well while I was there and it is beautiful as well. I took a local bus service called ETN from San Miguel de Allende there. In Queretero a lot of the locals only speak Spanish to you so I wished I would’ve brushed up more on my Spanish. They have an awesome mall in Jaranquilla built in a concept I have never seen in the U.S. I have been to 5 cities in Mexico Iso far. I’ve been vibe Checking to see if I would like to settle there. I can make an informed decision based on my pros and cons if I decide to move to Mexico.

Great video as always, these video help. I watch a lot of videos from many different people getting different perspectives so that I can get a fuller picture. It's the second best option when you don't have the money or other circumstances prevent you from making scouting trips.

@@bradyodom5504 It's a 3rd world country. You can see a doctor for $20.00...I have a lovely 2 bedroom apartment in walking distance of full service grocery store. I took my girlfriend out to dinner tonight it $21.00......I love the beach, that's why I'm here. It ain't America!!😮 There are poor people everywhere. They speak English here as well 😊😊 Subpar roads mostly dirt roads with many,many potholes!! There are continuous scheduled electricity blackouts that last 12 hours on a weekly basis. 😮😮

Those are great ideas! Maybe baby gates to keep the puppy in or out of a room, we use them and they work well.

RENT is higher each month in Queretaro. It is still less expensive her by 70%. Be honest. Honesty is the best policy. Hola from Queretaro. English is my first language, and the others are second languages. I love languages. I speak Spanish and other languages since age 14. Over 62 years coming to Mexico, all 50 USA states, and the world on my own dime. I am in my 82nd year. My rent in Queretaro includes everything a maid, security, wifi, and WhatsApp. I stocked up on food, and I use La Comer for home delivery. My rent was 14K per month and after 14 months 15K per month and the USA cost was $672 to $910, as the dollar falls.I save and give to honest no beggars. live in Queretaro next door, since 2021. This is 70% less than the USA in 2021. I am in my 82nd year and moved here at 79 in 2021. I have been coming to Mexico, mainly Acapulco for over 62 years, since age 20. I speak Spanish as a second language since age 14 among many other languages and visiting all over the world on my own dime. Great video. I survived the good and bad of the USA for 79 years. I am not afraid of anything, and I support myself, and help honest no beggars. Good and evil is everywhere. I moved to Queretaro in 2021 at 79, and God warns me on about evil and dishonest monsters. This is my 82nd year with GOD as my guide. Happy in cool Queretaro since 2021. Over 62 years traveling Mexico, mainly Acapulco, all 50 USA states and the world on my own dime from working. acajudi100 for my RU-vid videos.

Hi, how bad is the rainy season in Merida? Does it rain all day long, or just for a little while every day? Thanks
@MoveAbroadandThrive
@MoveAbroadandThrive 2 месяца назад
It hasn't been bad at all the last 2 years... This past year, it'll rain for 10-15 minutes and that's it. It didn't even rain everyday. It was weird. 3 years ago when i arrived it rained a lot more, but not terribly bad. Some areas are more prone to long lasting flooding (where the water didn't recede fast), but many others handle that fine.

@MoveAbroadandThrive Thanks so much. I guess the rain is welcomed when it's so hot, it's getting warmer over there. Cheers!
