I was recently hired as an assistant manager at a liquor store after the entire staff quit and sold the store. The new owner is great but we were left with a complete mess so the new store manager and I have been watching your videos and they are so helpful! Thank you for this.

Ah that's cool to hear thank you. It's fun organizing a messy store but it's definitely a lot of work. Where's it at?

Cool content bro. I binged all your videos. I noticed no new updates as I’m sure things are crazy with the pandemic but I’d love to see an update on things and how your handling it. In addition I’d like to see if you could talk about whats next ? It’s hard to scale this type of business and the retail hours are crazy plus finding good people to work it almost seems like eventually people sell. Which is probably why there’s so many people who sell their liquor store business - especially in New York. Have you give it any thought ? Also you gotta tell me where you get the scarf/head wrap you always film with in this pandemic my hair is going crazy lol

Hi, my name is Lester. I am in the process of purchasing a liquor store. The seller does not have a website nor does he do any advertising. Someone is creating a website for me. My question is, what is the best way to get product images for my website? I love the videos. I will be new to the business and I need all the good advice I can get. Thank you! L

Did you buy an existing store when you started and our did you open it yourself? How do you know what inventory you buy when you are just starting out?
@AlexFlasinski
@AlexFlasinski 4 года назад
I bought into an existing store. As for inventory to buy I guess you have to visit other stores to find out whats selling locally.

I'm going to be selling a small family wine company into independent liquor stores. Never sold in this industry before. What kind of payment is typical? Check? Card on file? Square swipe on delivery? Hoping to not have to go net 30. Thanks for the interesting info you're uploading!
@AlexFlasinski
@AlexFlasinski 4 года назад
It's definitely net 30 by check usually. Especially for a smaller company. Bigger distributors we pay net 30 through their online payment portals

At my store I did a 5 star review get 5% off , worked pretty good went from about 40 reviews to almost 200
@AlexFlasinski
@AlexFlasinski 4 года назад
Although that is technically not encouraged by Google - to incentivize the review - that's awesome :) has business increased because of your increased local SEO?

I own a small store in a very small town in iowa. I was thinking of doing a website, but I dont know if my traffic would increase with a website. Just wondering your thoughts? Also does your website go though your pos system? Mine has the capability to but only one type of site. They want 2000 to start in and 199 per month. And a 389 renewal fee.

What is your loss from theft from customers and employees per year?
@AlexFlasinski
@AlexFlasinski 4 года назад
Idk - maybe 5,000$ per year - and at least another $5,000 per year from different scams lately.
@2010nevadasmith

Thank you for answering my question. I had wondered if a liquor store had just an order window, like some gas stations with cigarettes, an owner could control theft and offer better prices. Which would be a win/win for the owner by offering lower operating cost and increased sales. People will go to the store with the cheapest price for their brand. Just a thought...
