I own the 2004 Legacy GT Wagon since new. Done almost 250,000 km. Recently I replaced the lower control arms and changed to Bilsteins B4. No major issues. Drives beautifully.
I live in Perú where I bought a Legacy 3.0 spec b in 2007. It came directly from Japan and up to today there is no rattle, the color is like new and I never have to add oil between oil changes. It seems that the quality in Japan is much better and in Perú Subarus have a very good reputation.
I live in Canada where 4Wheel drive is pretty much needed when you have a mountains of snow. Just recently bought a 06 Legacy wagon, non turbo. Car in great shape, body is 288,000 km. Replaced enjine 2months ago with 70,000km on it. Drives like brandnew to me. No transmission issues or whatsoever. I truly believe that this car will give me atleast 400k more. And yes, that paint isnt looking good anymore? Did you consider wrapping it? Or paint the whole car? Cheers🎉
Do you agree that the Ej20 JDM is the best? I mean RHD only but they seem to be reliable. Some say the best oil to use is 5W50. Looking for a Facelift from '07 -'09 . Can you recommend the 6Speed, or is the Automatic better choice? I mean everyone can repair a Manual. Greetings from Germany
Ej20 is a good motor if taken care of. I'm personally a fan of the ej255 or 257. Autotragic is never the answer. 6 speed all day everyday! Thanks for watching!
I have a JDM 05 GT 2.0 spec b. 5 spd manual.mild tune on 99ron. 20000 miles in just over a year. regular oil changes and checks. Awesome machine. could never part with it.
I GOT THE SAME WAGON. NEVER USES OIL, MAYBE COZ IT'S ONLY DONE 160,000K's. NO OIL LEAKS BUT HAS AN AOS. MISHIMOTO RADIATOR, 3" DOWN PIPE AND CAT BACK, KnN COLD INTAKE ETC...IT'S A GEM.
i mean if a driver do the regular maintenance then it should be fine , subaru car is always strict forwards , and do not drive crazly if its not tuned. but i don't really like rattling sounds from the bushing or arms and exhausts...... so annoying!
I tend to agree with this. Do the maintenance, don't drive like a dick all the time and it'll be fine. However, these are definitely finicky cars for sure!
I agree war is bad but every dollar your willing to spend is from the spoils of war and so isn't much of the pharmaceutical corporations. Just saying, hate war or love it, its not going away. So to enjoy the lavish, secure, and comfort of things such as your car, food (unless you grow your own), and other novelties and conveniences, then you, me, and anyone dependant on this, is at least somewhat a hypocrite.
