6 THINGS I HATE IN FIFA 23 CAREER MODE 😡 

Since being introduced in Fifa 20, dynamic potential is a great idea but hasn't been implemented properly at all. Especially this year, very rarely you see GKs or defenders getting their potential upped after having a good season and good avg rating. You only see attackers getting the potential upped because of goals and assists and to be honest this year that isn't even the case. Board objectives and the fact that they exist in the game. Like, let me build the team how I want to build it within the budget. It doesn't make sense for the board wanting me to sign players of a certain region rather than signing players that actually benefit my team.

I’d like to see historical records of players stats carry over season to season. All games are technically simulated so it’d be good to view a player 3 seasons in for example and see their total goals/assists etc

A club world cup would be good too. Makes playing in leagues such as the A league and mls more fun!

Also you can’t re-allocate your budget for wages and transfer so ytg is really hard now

my biggest issue is that when players request a transfer you can’t take them off the list, block offers, offer them a new contract, nothing you just have to wait until they leave and buy them back if you want the player again

I love to see a stadium upgrade feature for create a club and I think it's a great idea to have more stadium customization to make it a lot more fun

an issue i have had on fifa 22 was that when i was on international duty for poland and i was playing ireland in the euros qualifiers the game said on the news tile (barca keep clean sheet against ireland) now to be honest i was playing for barca but i was on international duties. and on the news tile you could even see the poland away kit. but the game thought i was playing barca cuz that was my main club. anyways we won 4-0 anyways and we have qualified for the euros

The generic keeper kits where in the older fifas for certain teams while your out fielders where the actual club kits they where like blank shirts no sponsors just the name and number on the back.

A bunch of the actual teams have generic Goal Keeper kits, league One and Two in England and the "smaller leagues" in Europe all have generic kits.

Transfer offers in player career mode are still extremely rare and bugged

I remember in fifa manager 08 how much customization you were able to do in regards with the stadium..

I really hate the job offer system, I started a carrer at Sarpsborg 08 (Norway), won all domestic competitions there, then went to AZ (Netherlands), also won there and then went to Borussia Dortmund and won everything there PLUS the Champions League. I really wanted to go to a club like Tottenham and help them win something at last, at simulation they were always finishing with no qualification for an European competition too so it would be the perfect club to revamp but no, I can only go to Barça, Atletli, Real, Chelsea, City or PSG, nothing else.

FIFA23 most annoying: in team sheets after I edited all my new formation balanced plan and rest of the game plans (ultra defensive, defensive, attacking and ultra attacking), edited lineups for each plan - when I change the plan during the game, it does show the same lineup despite having the exact same players. It kinda shuffles the lineups... very annoying as I need to pause and edit lineup again during the game.

It still has the Homegrown Talent GK bug in FIFA 23. Started a safe and my HGT was a 23 rated GK who had GK stats in single figures but speed and acceleration in the late 70's 🤦‍♂️😒

We need a new and improved loan system, maybe add club affiliations or give us the opportunity to offer to loan a player to a specific club I.e how Chelsea have Vitese as a go to club to loan their youth players to

One thing I think they should do in create a club is pick a region not just a club so if u do a save where you go through the leagues 9/10 you will have different Derby matches and show off the Derby matches more with build up in the paper talk and with the pre match interviews

Biggest thing I hate about build a club is that I can’t change the league of different clubs. Like when I’m doing a regular career I can perfectly fine, but the one time that I choose to play the way that I am going to want to use that feature, I can’t. Instead if I want to make a premier league club I have to get rid of a premier league team, instead of sending that to the championship. Also, would be really cool if we could use the kits of real clubs. For example, if I wanted to make a red bull club in England, I might use the NYRB or RB Salzburg kits or logos. And also, it would be pretty good if we could do custom text on logos or even make our own. Cricket 22 has a system where you can fully create or import logos to use on custom teams. Would would be really cool to see a version of that in fifa, or EA Sports FC or whatever they are calling the next one.

When you play your second team in the third round of the Carabao Cup against a Championship side to rest your star players, and they begin to criticize you for not starting them.

Only thing I got to say is I’m glad this is the last year that EA has the fifa license give it to somebody that cares next year

I found it way too easy to sign players, most were quite happy to take pay cuts to sign too. also get bored of the same cut scenes, player conversations and interview answers too. only played career mode for a few hours on FIFA 23 but I don’t think I’ll be going back to it anytime soon especially with the PS5 version of Football Manager being released soon

I think it was championship manager 97 on the sega mega drive you had full customisation of the stadium grounds car parks and what not, as you progressed through the leagues you could invest to get more income from games. A more immersive experience than what we have today

it could be cool to be able to apply for any clubs as in the reality you can do it, and the club is more likely to accept you if their objectives are not reached at the leaderboard (you can see every league leaderboard so there's usually no problem on it). Also the home club might have a % of proposing you new contract or better transfert budget to keep you but not everytime as there is a risk if you want to go out only to have better budget

These things are annoying and it would be nice if they were fixed/better implemented, maybe we’ll see better for EA FC, time will tell. 👍🏻

I would love to see EA add a 'building time' to a stadium upgrade. It would be very cool and really realistic to have to play parts of a season or maybe even a full season in a substituted stadium (e.g. Tottenham playing at Wembley while White Hart Lane was being upgraded)

Too many unrealistic transfers. English players moving out of the premiership which rarely happens in real life and players joining rival clubs. EA doesn’t care about offline mode…. Glad FIFA has part ways with them, having all these rights just to focus on online mode is crazy. They need more competition!!

Agree those early pre-season games could benefit a lower league team your trying to build up in a RTG etc but as usual EA don't care 😂seriously at this point i don't even care what EA do anymore as they always mess up everything you like in career mode.....They want you playing FUT.

I would like fans to be able to wear previous shirts, especially if we are talking create a club where after the first season the fans don't just wear this seasons tops. Plus fans need an upgrade as every goal it is the exact same animation and in create a club they don't even have the badge on the shirt just the design like a normal adidas top

I believe fifa and football manager would benefit from cherry picking from LMA manager. You could upgrade specific stands, increase and decrease ti ket prices and other wee details that really make the game in my opinion. For me fifa especially feels superficial/ shallow

1. Player values should be influenced by game-time and form 2. When you retire a player you should be able to choose your own club for managament 3. Scout instructions doesn't allow to scout for players of certain nationality, which sucks because you have to do it manually 4. Match Tactics don't really impact the outcome of the match 5. Should be able to set up youth scouting in more nations AND to set up multiple in the same nation 6. Transfer shortlist resets after you change clubs👎 7. After the summer transfer window there's a 4-man shortlist of "NEXT GENERATION" top talents to look out for in the season, in the first season it's always 54 rated lads who can't get over 60

another glitch is that in player career mode you can't change your kit number, it keeps reverting back to your original number

My biggest problem is that on the Series X, the game crashes everytime it connects to EA servers. I have to be offline if I want to play

Redesigning the job offers would be fantastic, I always want to coach Australia in the internationals, but I have to wait for like 3 seasons for them to even give me a job

The career mode would actually be great if the gameplay actually was good, like PES 6 kind of good. Right now, the off-pitch stuff has to compensate for the gameplay being extremely unexciting.

Another improvement they could make to Manger Mode is AI Mangers getting Fired And you as a Manger getting proper contracts and negotiating with clubs

The biggest problem is objectives bc I have a rly good team promoted twice in a row and I’ve even done a lot of the objectives and the team is way better but if I’m very close to getting sacked bc ps5 makes it rly easy to get sacked

I think there should be an option to turn of manager, because it will be helpful for a lot of people. Also a new option: realistic where transfer would be harder and all that

Something I’m having a problem with is, my player got an mcl injury and now he’s about to be dropped off the team for some reason. I’ve tried training to increase reputation but even that makes the meter closer to dropping me off the team. Does anyone have a solution?

They should also add a kit changer for every team and the real team badges for Roma even for other teams like this. They should also add when you complete a season you get to make your new kits for the next season

People want more realism but yet have a afro ginger man with pink suit and a green beard for a manager 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

They should add a free agent section do you can use mangers that have been sacked like tuchel and gerrard

I think there could be like a transfer for 1,2,3,4 or 5 years and after that you have to sign another contract or become a free agent

Not only are the stadiums not upgradable, there's a glitch that makes your capacity under 5k and it stays that way no matter what you change it to

Add academies, where you start playing in Real Madrid B for example, or U18 club, add U18 or U21 World Cups and Euros, then recieve offers from teams depending on how you performed in Euros, World Cups and U18 league or something like that, make club offers more realistic, offers from average teams like Slovan Bratislava for example, Rangers, Reims (for example) add more leagues from Europe, and more national teams, North Macedonia, Georgia, Serbia (for example) add qualifications for UCL, UEL, etc. And also add qualifications for World Cup and Euros, and Nations League maybe, an ability to speak with gaffer is also needed, request things, etc. Add an ability to request agents specific clubs, add tattoos, national and club rankings, there are many things to add... please wake the fck up EA

Create a club: more realistic team commentary names. Also existing names should be also available, at least the place names. Create a club and career mode : sponsors for kits and stadium Career mode: able to start unemployment, manager contracts like fm, should be able to do things with the wages( salary). Stadium should be more customisable. Should be able to upload badges. Should implement some league rules to career mode( again fm).

two things i hate: 1. not a single one of your players will be part of the team of the season of your league even if your team won every possible trophy. 2. you can barely negotiate the role and clauses when signing a player

In player career mode, I hate having to retrain the player when they play for their country. It’s so fucking annoying, I make them play for a national team that doesn’t exist.

I have to say that you have really big imagination, and like we in Spanish say "no le pidas peras al olmo" There's things that EA never are going to add to the game, stuff like the stadium for example could have been possible in PES but not in a FIFA, and about goalkeeper's stuff .. it's like FIFA 09 when it was a generic shirt as well

In create a club carrer, you can't have the same kit selected with different colours.

4:12 honestly i really want a feature that allows you to put any club without a licensed stadium in a real licensed one if you want.

I hate one thing in player career mode: You have 100 goals and 36 assist Last season ,but you didn´t get ballon d´or ( Haaland with 15 goals and 2 assist got him) And so it is every season. That makes me angry.

my favourite career mode was 21, it was far from perfect but it just worked. there are alot of features missing but i always had the most fun on 21

Yeah, I'd love to be able to accept a manager position at another club but finish out the current season with my current club

1)No sponsorship opportunities on jerseys, like does EA think clubs don’t get offers to have a sponsorship on their jerseys. You should be able to change sponsorships or get one if you start create a club or start with existing club. 2) the undefined bug is back in. When playing a game you will see an undefined player has been sold to a team or undefined player has been subbed on. 3) random players in the squad asking for game time. Like 70 overall asking for game time when he is a prospect or an old veteran player with contract that is set to sporadic. 4) academy scouting… not every team should just have an amazing academy. I get you start with a world class prospect with the pre order game purchase. But it should be more realistic for clubs to produce prospects. Just some of my thoughts. You didnt said that in the training drill you can't save you're template and load it in the next training session, instead, the game load random players for you..

I’m pretty sure the Goalkeeper Kits will be a lot better in FIFA 24. I’m confident that the other things you hate will be fixed.

I think they can add a place to view every trophy you won

The last one, once you see your job is accepted just save the career and apply after loading it again

Fifa Devs do the absolute bare minimum to this game. The problem is ppl still buy it and there's no true competition.

On create a club it has generic name and number fonts on the kit also. And when applying for a job, why would Real Madrid and Barcelona who are 1st and 2nd want a new boss? It’s ridiculous.

I really hope they could actually make the quick sim something that needs tactics and player stats not just making a software randomly generate numbers for scoresheets. This is a 50$ game which in my country is almost a quarter of people's average salary

Sometimes a player overall increas but the wage is still the same or a manager doesnt have option to increase wage {my english is not good}

One thing i hate: I bought Messi at 89 OVR in my career mode with Schalke. He was the top scorer of DFB-Pokal (Dont remember how much) and UEL (20 goals!!!!) but still, after winning UEL, DFB-Pokal and pre-season tournament his ovr got down to 85. I have no idea why fifa does that constantly to players older than 32. I guess they dont know Zlatan??

The ‘job offers’ that you spoke of aren’t actually job offers. They are potential openings or in other words a post that you can apply to. You do receive job offers on FIFA but they are very rare (as in you’ll be approached once per career save). Just a nit pick but technically you can apply for a job as those ‘job offers’ that you were looking at weren’t actually offers but rather positions that you can apply for. However, I would agree that this system needs tweaking as when you reach a certain level in the game you will be locked into only being able to apply for jobs with the very best teams in Europe which for someone like me who prefers managing weaker teams to glory is a real bummer. EDIT - Another point that I want to add which I only just now remembered is that jobs are only available at certain points in the season. For example, at the end of the season you can look at potential openings and if you see something you like, make the move. However, if you get through the final few weeks before the season resets without seeing a job that you’d like to take then you will have to reload your save and try again because once that new season starts there will be zero potential openings to apply for. I mean seeing as this game mode just exists for the players enjoyment I think that you should just be able to apply to any team in any league at any time. They don’t always have to accept your application but you should at the very least have the option if you are doing well to choose who you want to manage when you get bored of winning the league unbeaten for the second season running instead of being forced to take over at a limited selection of clubs like Barcelona, Real, Man United or Bayern. Makes a multiple league journeyman career almost impossible. For instance if you start in China and want to work your way through other Asian or weak European leagues, don’t make a significant step up in league strength or you’ll get locked out of managing in some leagues in favour of being forced into going to europes top leagues.

I don't understand your final point one bit. Why earth would you want to leave the club you're managing in the middle of a season? Especially if you're pushing for a title?

I was shocked by the real manager options. 3.Liga has all of them, Bundesliga has 1 and 2.Bundesliga has 0 like wtf was the point? Might as well kept it how it was. Create a club is an idea I loved back in the day but since a lot of leagues have standardized kit numbers and fonts you’re limited to a handful of leagues if you want it to seem real but then the GK kits ruin that as well. All they had to do was put 1 GK template for each brand and let you pick a color for it. It can’t be that hard really. The preseason tournament prize money IS annoying but not game breaking. I like the stadium builder idea especially since it gives you a chance to spend more of your money as you make progress and don’t they have something like it in FUT already? It can’t be that hard to add more stadium options like how it is in FUT but I know FUT always gets everything 1st before the rest of the game does. Great video!

I don't like the fact that when listing a player for loan, 99% of the offers will come as loan with option to buy and if i'm trying to only loan the player, the club which is making the offer immediately withdraws from negotiations, because they only want the players on loan with option to buy

I noticed you can’t have the same kit design, you have to chose a different one. It would be nice to have the same kit design but just a different colour

There is some much EA can do but won't. More cutscene, interviews before and after the match that are not the same 3 lines, more costumization (as a manager I can't wear glasses, would you believe? I can't have a sponsor on the jersey and can't create my own badge), we need a real historical archive for the statistics (it would be nice if the game tells me when I bet a record, or exalt me when I do something remarkable), we don't have any cutscenes for individual thophies (sometimes you don't even know when you win the Balon d'Or), it would be nice if we could act also over the pitch making choice which may impact on the relationship with a player or the audiece or the club. The carreer mode is just so flat and so poor. We are in the 2023 and games as RDR2 were made 5 years ago, I feel just teased by EA.

I don't like the ballon d'or system, I just get like 90 goal contributions and still they give it to like haaland who got like 30 goal contributions, it's just not fair

I don't like how the balloon d'or works. They player with the highest overall is the one who gets the award but I think they should change it to stats in game

The news things are also just completely wrong. Robertson scored an own goal in my career mode, and the news title said “Robertson scores first goal for Liverpool this season”

Sad thing is do its that EA are just thinking on developing there new own game so they aren't probably gonna update Fifa 23 more😔

In build your own club mode you should be able to modify the team kit every single season

Disagree about the job offer thing - we keep pushing for realism in CM and if a manager was to take a job at a bigger club, they would leave the club they were at previously, just how it works.

Why does it matter what the goalkeeper wears….they gotta have a different color then both teams on the pitch…i think you just pointed out the unnecessary features that don’t need to get worked on…managers faces (Doesn’t matter) it’s a game….Goalkeepers should be wearing a different color shirt than north temas on the pitch

I was doing a player Career and I got injured for like 351 days and then when I finally simmed through it I got injured for 76 days 🙃

I created napoli bc i hate the generic kits , and there isnt enough colours in the kits bc napolis colour isnt in the game

If you're in a game and use 3 quick subs, you can't use the other two subs after you made those first 3. Ig it is a bug from last year when we still only had 3 subs but it needs to change now! I can only two quick subs in order for it not to bug out.

EA could do a lot more but as usual their ok sending out copies of the same game coded from the PS2 days because kids still buy the game...Those kids don't pay anything it's their parents money so they don't care neither and the cycle repeats every year.🤨
