Always drive fast next to cops. They will usually be impressed and give you points on your license. If you collect enough of these points, you can win prizes! Like... a new license.

Epic Supercars I found the car that i want for my first car. Its a smaller sports car, and its just how I want it. Though there is one problem, its an automatic. I really want a manual because everyone says that its much more fun driving a sports car with a manual transmission, but i have been looking forever, and still haven't found a manual version in my price range. I know that I need an automatic for my first car just for safety, but if I could drive a manual then I could drive anything. also once I get used to driving I feel like I would regret buying an automatic because I already get bored while driving an automatic. So should i go ahead, and get the automatic or should i wait for a manual. Sorry for the random question I just need help.

@johannkuhn5685
@johannkuhn5685 7 лет назад
Noah Bishop: Why do you say that you need an autotragic as your first car for safety? If you practice away from traffic then it's better to learn manual, plus in some countries (like here in ZA) you're limited by your licence. If you do your drivers test with an auto, you'll get an automatic-only licence. I learned to drive in a manual '87 Mazda 323, and it's really not a problem. Personally I'd wait for a manual, unless you plan on having more than one car. As an owner of both (granted, it's an old 3-speed, I only drive old cars), I can confirm that you'll be missing out big time with an auto.

Stay calm when you get caught behind slower moving traffic. If you get angry with them for being slow I've found it moves your concentration away from driving. This means you make mistakes which could lead to an accident. But, and most importantly it takes the fun out of driving.
@SebiStr99
@SebiStr99 7 лет назад
yeah, it's very important to stay calm and maybe (depending on the road and laws) thinking about how you can overtake in a save way, without risking too much
@cpufreak101
@cpufreak101 7 лет назад
Ultigameriowan it's one thing if you want to do 70 in a 50 and they're going 55, it's another thing though when the traffic in front of you is doing 7 in a no passing zone, cause that's what happened to me today
@SI0AX
@SI0AX 7 лет назад
That is stupid. Doing 7 is like your vehicle is disabled. Something similar happened to me where there was a very slow driver in a no passing single lane and at first there was no one behind me, but I look again and suddenly there is a huge traffic jam all caused by that 1 turtle driver! >:(

@KozmoCossak Yes. I drive fast when I know the roads and also know where the sidewalk is. And as long as you are driving curves where you see the oncoming traffic easily you can cut it without danger.

Aristocrafied actually I don't understand what's ment by “fast“??? 60 mp/h??? I know only one place to drive fast: Autobahn in Germany (actually just some %). last year I ALMOST shot into an britisch mini bus switching to the fastest lane - which is INDEED ! - the very LEFT one! I was @ 140 mp/h, he @ 60. full, I mean full, on the brakes one hand on the horn one on the flash light and in the very last moment he realised and turned to the middle lane again. I reduced my speed to his, still on the brakes, when I was next to his drivers door. obviously too late IF he didn't turn back. I am still here and can add: 1 always think of the unexpected 2 often you have to react fast and with emphases

I usually do 225kmph/140mph on the German Autobahn: My Checklist: Speed up only if the road ahead is straight and clear Look out for cars in the other lane ahead of you who might misjudge your speed Practice hard breaking on an open stretch of road with no traffic to do your best when you need this skill the most Get comfortable with the car for a few days or months before testing its limits Only do such speeds in Germany in no speed limit zone or a race track. Nowhere else!

the trick I used when I was trying to learn was to slowly position the left foot on top of the brake, and then feeling it by aplying more pressure. I learned to feel the brake by doing this with the car in neutral in a descent at night and then by stoping it at home. Now it feels almost natural to do it, and I can assure you, it is worth the time needed to learn

Can I make a serious comment and tip for younger drivers. Dont drive your 1996 toyota corrola or other shit box as though it was a focus rs or a like on mountain/Canyon road. You may think you are Colin McRae but when you get something wrong ESC and ABS wont be there to save you. I have personally fished my friend out of his overturned car at the base of a valley when he locked all 4 wheels on a hairpin, he drove it straight off a cliff into a tree which flipped it on to its roof. He was lucky to sustain no injuries. You may not be. Moral of this comment is to have fun, but drive to the limits of your car and not your perceived ability.
@SPTSuperSprinter156

Definitely, and I think discovering the limits of your car is important, even basics like driving round an empty car park and seeing how it responds when you turn the wheel and brake hard. I always do this in a new car I get so I know if a crisis happens how it will handle and in what ways I can push it.

Focus RS is probably in more danger than the 96 Corolla... just doesn't have the HP or Torque to push that hard and most will know their car is a shitbox. Focus people think they're all rally sport drivers now... and it definitely has more than enough power to get dumb aggressive drivers in trouble on a mountain pass. AWD won't help one bit if you punch 350hp at the wrong time. I definitely suggest people screw around in HS parking lot though. Learn your cars mechanics and exactly how it feels.

Adding a Tofu sticker to your car adds an extra 150% extra HP. Most Hypercars do this, you can't see it since they make it microscopic, but that doesn't change it's stats because they put a million of microscopic ones in places you won't even see it anyways.

That bit about picking the right time and place is key. In North Georgia (the US state) there are tons of fun mountain roads. If you try to drive on a weekend, you're gonna be on someone's bumper the whole time as they clinch in fear on the swervy s-curves and drive more slowly than is probably necessary. Go mid-day on a wednesday, though... it's like your own private race track. It was just me and the motorcyclists and a couple of bicyclists (be nice and slow down on approach and pass generously; they should get to enjoy these roads, too). Really, this is all excellent advice. Just the basics, but the most necessary information for having fun and staying safe.

Use your brain and take in account other driver's possible stupidity. In other words, you might as well go to a track because on public roads there will always be an idiot around that is too busy watching his cellphone or is completely oblivious to what is happening in any of his mirrors. On public roads a golden rule in your car is: always assume the worst...and don't get mad when it actually turns out to be reality.

Practice learning the width of your car on the near side, I did this by brushing the mirror along over hanging weeds / bushes in the lanes near by(might want to duck tape it or something if the paint etc is important, once you understand the width of the car to the point it's second nature you can really improve cornering, I've raced a lot of BMWs and jags in the lanes over the years and not knowing the width of the car means I've kept up with them in much much lesser cars the worst one being an E46 touring vs my then smart forfour and he couldn't lose me because he just couldn't corner to save his life. Another one would be practice in the snow, as in, if it snows specifically go out at midnight with a mate and play about in it drifting / handbrake turns etc, if you do that for a couple of weeks while it snows you will have such a better understanding of how a car behaves when it's behaving badly to the point you see an exaggerated result of bad cornering technique that any other road conditions seem tame after that. I'd recommend doing it in shit box though, I buckled two wheels my first time :)

My additional tips from experience: 1- Don't hit the brakes too quick even if you have ABS. Ease the on the brakes first until the weight shifts to the front, then you can press harder. 2- Brake in a straight line while you can. 3- Avoid full throttle on uneven/bumpy surface. 4- Make sure your tyre pressure is adequate.

Text during the first 5 minutes to warm up your fingers. Look for interesting scenes around and turn your head with them, following them all around when passing them. Pro drivers can turn their neck up to 180 degrees. This is to increase your field of view and prepare you for whiplash. Also, stretch your legs before you drive off by putting one foot behind the headrest, one after another, of both, if you're trained. You may have to bail out through the headlight cavity after enjoying your drive.

@another3997
@another3997 6 лет назад
panvlk It's not mandatory to use 'Pull push' in the UK driving test, although it used to be. Smaller steering wheels and better steering ratios have eroded the need for it these days. And trust me, most learner drivers can't do it properly anyway, they just do tiny shuffles of the wheel. But it isn't "nonsensical". Done *properly*, it's a useful technique for tighter turns in normal, everyday driving and can be mixed with fixed grip steering and rotational (hand over hand) to cover any circumstance.

Good, sound advice. I would argue that the hand-over-hand technique does have its place. On the open road or track, not so much but when doing some tight slaloms or autocross events, crossing up the arms will prohibit the driver from obtaining all of the steering input the car is capable of providing.

Cost and shift your wait depending on the turn. Make sure that if your driving fast around tight turns where your hugging the turns and accelerating in the truns 1 use both lanes and use your turn signal 2 make sure your tires aren't bald or close to it 3 feel the car and the road and think 6 steps ahead of everyone on the road.

Rev matching downshifts, especially with spirited driving and most most especially while entering a corner/mid corner. Aside from the obvious (maintaining chassis balance/stability) it significantly reduces wear on the synchros as well as allows for faster down shifts. Use it in every day, casual driving for practice and increased transmission longevity.

When i want to go fast I always put my both hands on steering.... Sharp turn with under loading a car is good technique... I was able to turn around 80kmh on sharp turns.... And see where want to go is the best tip...but also tell them...that when they start car early morning the engine and tyres are cold enough... So dont drive fast.... Let the tires warm up so you can feel better grip and handling... Every morning when I go university I see accident due to cold tyres not picking up brakes.... So guys this tip will help you let the tyres warm up...

7: know when to slow down and never take chances, i.e. don't drive faster than you can stop on the road visible to you. Most people going fast enter bends too fast and still are slower. Fastest and safest on the road is 'slow in, fast out' of a corner.

For me it's brake just before the turn, hold the throttle at 50%-60% during the turn, smoothly go from 80% to 100% as the corner straightens out. I mention this because although what you say is true, any person who takes your advice should not that accelerating to hard out of a corner, can make your car spin out if it is a RWD, or understeer and go straight off the road if it is FWD.

My hand when driving calm is @ 12, but once my hands are @ 9&3 everybody in the car grabs on for dear life 😂😂😂

Good. When you're "driving calm" and some drunko smashes into you with your arm across the steering wheel, you know what's shooting straight into your face. That's right, not the airbag, but rather the arm resting in front of the air bag. You're very smart, thank you.

@@martin1649 I changed it to my left hand on 1. So now I’ll break my whole arm 😏.

The F-type used in the video doesn't appear to have adjustable headrest (but is flat and correct already). If you can adjust it, make sure the flat part is angled parallel to the back of your head and raised so that the back of your head when sent backwards lands in the middle. If you get this wrong and have an impact you could really screw your neck. Say if the head rest is tilted forward and only at the height of your neck. Adjustable headrest is there to help stop whiplash. Or to be removed and beat irritating passengers with on tiring road trips....

3 things that are very important and forgotten is. 1 KNOW YOUR CAR like brakes behaving in corner feel.. 2 DONT GO 2 FAST IN TO THE CORNER AND LIFT TRHOTTLE CAUSE YOU WILL CRASH AND MISS EXIT SPEED. brake late till car is setteled and be fast at the exit. 3 BE SMOOTH steering dont do jerking steering that will unsettle the car.

Great video! I'd just like to add that if you got the right car for enjoying spirited driving, you should naturally prefer to listen to the engine over the stereo anyway.

Same, idk the point of being left or right side countries but honestly america is meant to kill the driver instead of the passenger. Imagine your friend having a load of drugs and throwing it under the seat, getting caught and blaming it on you cuz it's your car. Yes I know you've watched an episode of cops or live pd
