I'm new here. I appreciate your ambition to make something old to something new. The last garment, button up sleeveless dress would look really cute as an unbuttoned long vest over your black polished stretch pants with back tank top.

I had sadly thought the hobby of sewing had somewhat fizzled out since my generation (I'm 66). it's amazing to see you get so excited about giving new life to garments so we can reduce all that outdated fashion going to landfills! Please post more like this. I am learning so much from you.

Black pants: if they are the crisp, glossy, substantial fabric they appear to be, I would call them sateen (satin finish cotton.) If they're lighter weight and appear to have a gloss applied to them, they might be characterized as polished/glazed/glace cotton, or even mercerized cotton. Polished cotton will eventually wash out soft, but it will still have a pleasant texture. Like most cottons: the older, the softer, the more comfortable.

I had a blast watching you go! The skirt over the head into a cardigan blew me away. Good stuff 😊

I love the way weave in unique tips and tricks along the way! May I ask...once you turn out your strap using the string (so cool!), do you remove the string by seam ripping or just snip the tail? Thanks so much!
