I feel like a broken record by always stating that you are as talented and articulate a teacher as you are a floral designer. Thank you for these terrific tips, Katherine. You exude class. Aloha, Karin
Great tutorial, Katherine! I’ve done this many times and everything is very true. Order that 5-10% extra product & avoid stress. Prep & let flowers hydrate/relax. Assembly line is so important! Helps me to do the layout just as you said, recreate a full prototype then go for it down the line. The rest become much easier & faster. To me a finishing spray does help them last longer. LOVE your channel. Thank you for all you share!!
Lovely arrangement Katherine just wanted to mention that hydrangeas and roses back in England are vey expensive between £8-£9 a stem Roses about £4.50 a stem you are very lucky if you can pick from your garden certain materials which will help with the costing thank you for sharing your amazing arrangements
Oh wow! There are so many lovely gardens in England I’m shocked how expensive cut flowers are. We grow a lot of flowers in California and a lot of the roses and hydrangeas in the flower market are imported from Latin America eg Ecuador and Columbia.
Oh my goodness yes, this was fabulous! Thank you again! Gives me a clearer understanding of what i would need to do if this was requested! As always, 🙏🙏🙏 So appreciate every single video!
A gorgeous and stunning arrangement; colors are soft and choices of stems are so achievable to find and recreate this arrangement. 💜 Thank you for sharing your expertise ❤
Ive just started watching your videos and your amazing. The wedding flowers you did are absolutely gorgeous. Im thinking of becoming a florist, youve definitely inspired me!! They make you feel so happy looking at them, thank you lovely lady 🙏🌷🌷🌟
This is so helpful! I was doing arrangements for my daughter’s baby shower 2 months ago. Although they came out nice, this would have helped a lot and reduce the stress level. I love how simple and elegant this arrangement is. Great tips! Thank you ❤
Hi Ms Katherine! Just in time! I'm helping my bff.Her mom's turning 100 y.o.. we are designing 24 centerpieces next Saturday. Aug10. I was nervous. But you just gave me a boost. I appreciate you my teacher ❤🎉God bless.
Hi, @Katehrine Bergman . I just discovered your videos and I want to tell you that they are of enormous help to me. I am starting my flower business and all your tips are gold! THANK YOU. I do not have a fridge. Could you tell me what I can put in the water to preserve the flowers 2 days before the event? Responder
Congratulations on your new business venture. I use Floral Life floral preservative in the water. But refrigeration is essential in events design. It will help you project manage each event. When I started out I just bought a used professional deli refrigerator from a restaurant supply store. I now have a 10 by 10 walk in fridge.
Such beautiful arrangement and awesome tutorial! I'm an instant fan😍...may I ask what kind of flower preservative do you use with the water and how much? My daughter will get married next year. I want to practice on flower arrangements so we can DIY and save a little money. Also, how long does the flowers last so we can figure out when to do it for fresh, beautiful arrangements 😊
I use Floral Life. How long arrangements last depends mainly on the ambient temperature and the types of flowers you use. I would make the arrangements no more than 2 days ahead. Good luck! And congratulations on your wedding ❤️🌸🌿
Hmmm. It felt like you just said “floral foam is terrible for the environment…but who cares? It’s easier.” I get that chicken wire takes practice, bat all arranging takes practice. Floral frogs are a great alternative. I never have issues with product moving around once I stick them in a pin frog. For people who want something closer to foam, there’s Agra-Wool or Oshunpouch. I still prefer frogs in many cases. They work quite well in your vessels. Otherwise, great tips and beautiful arrangement. I am surprised you’d charge only $75 for that design. I’d expect to charge more for something that size with garden roses, though I realize you got those at TJs so they were much cheaper. At my wholesaler, it’s about $35-45/10-12 garden roses.
hello Katherine, I'm curious what advise would you give to a uk grower, eg what eucalyptus variety do you recommend for here in somerset? I want to concentrate on foliage and filler for wholesale. Any tips or things to be mindful of when talking to florists and event organizers to make sales? thanks in advance for all your no nonsense, practical knowledge, you are a treasure xxx @katherinebergman
