I'm astonished, those were some incredible tips! Was able to hold my breath for slightly over 3 minutes without any previous training, only using the warm up procedure + staying relaxed :D

Your warm up lung technique, so cool man! Without warm up i just can hold my breath for 45 sec, but with 2 minutes warmp up, i can hold my breath up to 105 sec... Amazing!!!
I’ve made tremendous improvements in my breathing capacity and endurance by using my BreatheEasy Lung Exerciser, by always breathing through my nose and my holding my breath with empty lungs for as long as I can. I think the warm up your lung is usually temporary after a while without practice the total amount of time you are able hold your breath decreases (atleast for me)
Before trying this method I held my breath for a minute and twenty six seconds, afterwards I was able to hold my breath for two minutes and fifteen seconds! I definitely recommend!!
I had that problem when I went past 8ft. I watched a video where they explained that you just need to pop your ears (same concept as high pressure in air planes) when you start to feel the pain. I have to hold my nose and blow to get them to pop. Now I can get to the 16ft section of my local spring.
You can also breathe underwater by blowing little tiny tiny bubbles with your mouth like basically just whistle underwater and if you whistle slowly you can breathe a longer your water it actually works
I have a question.... Can you take too big of a breathe? I feel like I take too much in which when I hold it, it gets uncomfortable. Is that just conditioning I need or I take a normal deep breathe vs the biggest I can take. If that makes sense.
I got a tip for ya, just act like your putting your head underwater at the same time as your opponent, and then when you see them take their head out you immediately put your head back underwater to make it look like you were holding your breath
I somehow ended up having extreme pain in my vocal cords while attempting and voice cracks afterwards. I lasted 2 min 30s though, still wondering what I did wrong.

Today I went to my local pool before entering the deep end they made me do a 5 minute swimming test the last test I had to hold my breath for 30 seconds I tried three times then failed but thanks for tips!

Easy, dive to the bottom of the pool (don't breathe in), wait till blackout, and there ya go you just held your breath longest (till your friends notice you're almost died lol)
