Dear Katie, Many thanks for the great video. I am new to Pinterest and need more clarification on personal and business accounts. What is the main difference? Are there 2 different websites? Is the personal account pinterest website different from the business one or is it the same same website but different account types? Sorry for the silly question. Hope you understand my question.
@@fullmoon7169 you can convert your personal account to a business account. A business account has more tools such as analytics which isn't there in a personal account

Hi Katie, thanks for this great video. I'm already signed up to Tailwind and my intention up to now has to pin the same pin every 7 days to up to about 5 of my boards that are relevant. I still try to pin at least 5-10 unique pins every day but am currently multiplying that (using Tailwind functionality) across my boards. Do you think this is no longer relevant in 2021?
Your video was awesome! I really learned a lot. I have been on pinterest for ages but I had heard the algorithm changed and since my online business has taken off I didn't know what changes I needed to make to market on pinterest and you really nailed it. I do like the idea of video marketing and so I turned my whole site into a video blog.

Thank you for this awesome video! I've used Pinterest casually for years, but had no idea I could use it as a tool for my business blog until recently. I just had a question about your first tip- I get why it's a good idea to have multiple pins for each blog post, but how exactly do you go about doing that? Do you have all of those images in the initial blog post? Or do you switch them out periodically? I just don't want my posts looking too crowded with pins!

Hey Mandi, thank you so much - it makes me happy to hear that 😊 . So I think this sounds great. As long as the images from the photoshoot are from different angles, maybe in a different zoom, and you're not pinning the same image over and over again, then Pinterest will see all those photos as fresh pins. Now, I would think about how you can spread out similar photos from the same shoot over the next couple of weeks and months. So maybe don't pin images from shoot 1 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and then images from shoot 2 on Thursday, Friday, Saturday. But mix and match throughout the week and month. Also, a great thing for you as a florist would be to think about seasons. What's popular right now, which trends are coming up, and then post more of that content leading up to this event.

Hey Laura. So yes you can claim your RU-vid Channel on Pinterest. I've done it as well and I'm creating pins for my YT videos. But, sadly I'm not seeing great results. My pins from my blog get way more traction than the pins leading to YT:.But you know, I'll keep testing it to see if it'll change. My recommendation is - Try it.
Great video but I do see other changes now that Pinterest has gone public and need to keep shareholders happy. I don’t think Pinterest is as happy to send users off the platform as they use to. They rather have users stay on the platform longer that’s why they are pushing video/story pins since there are no outbound links on them. Just my thoughts. Thanks for your content.
Hey, there - loving your YT name :) I think you're right, and it's getting more difficult. I still hope that Pinterest realizes that the changes they made in the past few months are anything but user-friendly. I'm still giving it time, though, and I see a lot of potential in the e-commerce area. But, yes, I hope they realize that they can't treat content creators like that, especially bloggers, as they will not continue to invest their time into Pinterest if they continue to see a drop in traffic. We'll see. :)
Thanks so much! I love your content. So just to be clear, I thought saw in your old videos that you would pin the same pin to 10 different boards on tailwind. Do you think that that is no longer the best strategy? Should I only be pinning 1 pin of the same image to 1 board or should I be pinning it to multiple boards with time in between each time that pin is posted?
Hey Samantha, yes, thank you for that question. I do recommend you pin less now than you used to. What I do right now is I pin 1 pin to max. 3 boards. And I leave at least 1 week apart, pinning them. Pinning the same pin to the same board, I would wait at least 3 months or even more. Let me know if that makes sense.
I love your content!! 😊 Now about your last tip 😞 I see so Many claiming tailwind no longer working for Pinterest. Instead it is valuing manual pining more than ever, just as with quantity vs quality. Please clarify 😀?
Hey Maria, thank you for your question. So Pinterest has come out and said that pins saved through Tailwind are processed the same way as when you pin manually. So there's no difference there. I love a scheduler because it saves me time, and I can pin when my audience is live on Pinterest (my audience is mainly in the US). I live in Switzerland, so I would have to get up in the middle of the night to pin when my audience is live. But this being said, manual pinning works too. You can be very intentional and have full control. It's really up to you. In both cases, I agree with quantity over quality!
Hey Kimberly, so yes, I occasionally pin other people's pins, for example, through Tailwind Tribes or if I don't have enough fresh pins for that month. But I always make sure they're still relevant for my audience.

Hey Elis - Sounds great! Yes, they're definitely slow. I think it took them over a month to approve me for story pins. I hope they are rolling them out for everybody soon.
Hey Juliet. I've heard that they are in the process of expanding Idea Pins to many countries. So I believe it's just a matter of time until they will be available in your country too :) Also, no, there're many other ways to grow your account, most importantly by creating amazing content and pinning regularly. I promoted a pin on Pinterest for traffic. I set it up for Thursday through Sunday. With an 80 dollar limit. I got hardly any traffic to my blog. Seems to me Pinterest wants to keep people on their site. Also my Ad account was disabled twice. I am a tiny blogger and its frustrating. Thank you for your reply.

@@blackbeard1988 I think I am on to something. I went on my wifes pinterest account and saved some of my pins on her pinterest (she is a rabid pinner) and bam impressions went up repins went up and clicks went up.
Pinterest su**s it keeps suspending account for no reason... My craft niche account was suspended without any reason... So there is always a threat of suspension with this buggy platform... We creators have to suffer because of their incapable spam filters..

@@KatieGrazer I have been in this field for quite a long time... Yes I had actually written them stating my rrqch is getting affected and had requested them to look into this and in return I get an email stating my account is suspended.. Lol I learnt the hard way..focused on Google and bing and created RU-vid channel to finally come back on track... No more pinterest as you never know when that bug triggers spam filters and also pinterest support is not that helpful these days... All my original videos and images were a wasted :(
