Thanks for the tutorial I found the craft needle to be best for me. My hair is 3to 5 inches. I just completed my first month and plan to do my own retie. I decided to make this my own journey not just a sisterlock journey. Much love.
Thanks for sharing. The Sisterlocks tool is great for retightening on others. It’s difficult to use for self retightening. I have the London loc and easy love tool and love their ease of use
I have both sisterloc tools bcse I took the self-reti class years ago. Since I've had loose hair for the last 10 years, I forgot how ti use it! Is it similar to using a latch hook (without the latch obviously)??
Thank you so much for sharing the usage of the different tools! You have helped me to make a decision of which tool(s) to use for my self retightening! I appreciate you keeping it real with your opinions & experience with the different tools!!😊
First of all your hair is gorgeous 🥰 I'm going to try the nappy loc tool and I would love some Melanin loc oil. I have had sisterlocks for about 20 years. I went to the retightening class years ago and for years I would use the clip tool from sisterlocks but it tends to snag on my roots when doing my rotation and that other tool like you I don't know how to use it, so I'm using a tool like the nappy loc tool that I got from Amazon and I like that tool because it doesn't snag the roots of my hair while I'm retightening my hair and that nappy loc tool looks thinner and shorter so I think it's going to be a winner. Also thanks for the tips about not tightening so tight, I do that sometimes. Get back to me about the loc oil Loved this video 🥰
I use a metal yarn needle and it's the bee's knees for me. I cut it down and filed it back smooth, I fly through maintenance on my diy micro-smallish locs. 🌻
The London tool is the closest I have found to the sisterloc tool with the spring. Initially it was a learning curve but I have started interlocks with it and like it now. I clip the hair twice at the bottom because I do not like with any tool slips off the hair. And to get it through the root better you can spin in at you do that last pull. But I personally do not like tightening locks super tight. I enjoy your videos your honesty adds value to the loc community. And I do not comment on videos usually.
You made this look easy. I’m going to try to retire my hair myself for the first time. Wish me luck. I’ve never been too self sufficient when it comes to my hair.
There is a tool similar to the sisterlocks tool from a company called dreadlocks management system. It’s black and has a tail, I have seen locticians like candisweets cut the tail part off. They are on Amazon
I have another version of Loc Sanity from Amazon...2pk also...and I love it...its what I used to install my Braidlocs 10 days ago... Love you sis...your vids are awesome💯❣
Tunisia you make me want braces and I’ve already had mine. 💃🏽😊♥️I have a metal bracket permanent retainer installed. I highly recommend that process for maintaining your alignment. 😉
I love the nappy loc tool. I purchased a small and large because my micro locs are different sizes. Love that tool. What is your texting info for the oil? Was not in the description.
I purchased the dreadlock management system tool and modified it to look like the sisterlocks tool. There is definitely a learning curve. So far I have only done the front of my hair. It doesn’t look as good as when my loctician does it but it’s holding me down until she can get to me. I really wanna be able to do a retie without mirrors! Is that even possible??? Lol
