Interesting insight on the value of land. Had the exact conversation with an insurance agent who couldn’t grasp the concept that I didn’t need to cover the $110,000 cost of my lot in my homeowner’s insurance replacement cost.
I’ve had same home insurance with same company for almost 18 years and when I tried to update my policy they refused and said I had to keep the old policy. I think it’s because they know I haven’t filed any claims or replaced my roof and they know it’s only a matter of time before I need to repair or replace. Can they do that? I’m just gonna switch companies so I can have updated insurance
