Haha he calls it his "office"--that was his idea, but it should really just be called the craft supply disaster zone. :D I mean, sometimes it is legit as clean as in the video, but plenty of times it also isn't. haha
Thank you for sharing! I love how "real" this video was as well - you gave great ideas AND made me feel like my work-at-home-parenting-two-boys life (slash constantly interrupted chaos) is totally normal ;)
Haha OH YEAH. The Lord is working on me SO hard to handle the constant interruptions/chaos with more grace and patience like Jesus would! I feel ya! :D
We have a 3 foot wide by 30 feet long closet with a slanted cape code roof. Being minimal, I had nothing I needed to store in there (all our storage is on 4 shelves in our basement). That long closet is our Lego Alley! 2/3 of the room is for our 3 girls Lego sets. The room has 3 built in shelves that like 10 feet long, perfect for them! And the other 1/3 side of the room is for our one sons Legos. When you open the door and have to decide if you're going left to the girls or right to the boy, we have a large old metal street sign that someone had near a dumpster that says, "No Dumping Violaters will be Prosecuted." 🤣
Lego Alley! SO fun! I actually thought that would be what we would use that hall closet for, but Harry wanted to call it his "office" and make it an art space instead. :)
Your kids are too cute. I love watching your videos. But you are right, it is hard when the kids are around when filming. However, I think it is also safe for the kids to not be in the video because we never know... - this is youtube ;). My son's old heavily oak changing station is now being used as a TV stand. The drawers contain games and a few books, Xbox stuff and a winter sofa blanket. It worked for us. I thought it was expensive so it was worth repurposing. I love your videos.
I got an old dresser that's long and short. I used it also as a changing table. It had 2 short drawers and 2 very long drawers. I used that for my two older girls. Then eventually used it for my younger two. Now in our current home set up I have that dresser in our living room and we keep all of our games and activities.
I keep my family's socks in a drawer in the TV unit in the lounge room. I started this because everytime someone came into the lounge room to put their shoes on they would ask me where their socks are 😂
