I realize this is 2 years old, but just in case you see this..... I loved this video and your instructions were fantastic and easy to follow. I also love the fact that you put all these methods into one video with directions and finished wreath. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Susan, thank you so so much for watching and for your wonderfully kind words. I am so happy to hear you enjoyed this compilation video. YAY!! Take care. 😊
Dave!!!!! I’ve watched thousands of videos on wreath making, tried several…HATED THEM! I was going to give up. I watched your video and my heart skipped a beat. I love your meathod, love your outcome. They are perfect every time. You gave my creativity joy again! Thank you so much. Now back to binge watching….
Hi Danielle….thank you so very much for such an amazing comment. You totally just made my day!!!!! I’m so glad you’re not going to give up on wreath making. It truly is so much fun…and beware…it’s addicting!!!! Hahah. Let me know if you have any questions or need any help. I’m always here to try and help and encourage. 😊
I have been struggling with wreath making and watched so many different videos. You are amazing and show things so clearly!! I am so proud to say that I have finally made my first wreath with your tutorial!!! Thank you so much! ❤️
Hi Karen...that is amazing that you made your first wreath!!! Congrats!!! I hope you had fun with the process and are happy with the final result. I wish I could see it. Thank you so very much for watching and for leaving me such a great comment. 😃😃😃
Hi Dave I have made 5 wreaths using your tutorial. You are a good teacher and I really appreciate you taking the time to share your craft. Now can you please do a cross wreath using burlap or deco mesh.
Been looking for door wreaths for the hospital for when my daughter is born love this !!! Gonna try tonight not a crafty person at all but your instructions make me feel like I can
This is the best tutorial I have seen so far. I usually feel very overwhelmed after watching these, but your calm, friendly voice and patience gave me the confidence I needed. Thank you so much !!
I really like how you show step by step instructions. I really appreciate you showing us people who are on a budget in how to the put the chenille stems that go on a wreath before you start. Most people tell you they purchased them already on which is a little costy. and I like how you showed so many different kinds of design. I have purchased alot of 6" mesh and alot of the tutorials I've seen only tell how to use 10" and bigger so now I know I can use up my 6". Thank you very much for your time you took to make this tutorial.
Hi Diana...thank you so much for watching and for leaving such a kind comment. I really appreciate it. And I am so glad that you found it useful for your 6" deco mesh. Wreath making does not have to be expensive, it can be inexpensive and still look good. I totally agree with you there. Have a good one.
@@DavesWreaths thank you very much for returning a message to me. Most times I comment I never get a response. do you have a tutorial on going a pumpkin shaped wreath?
@@dianamumme5651 Hi Diana…I try to comment as much as possible. Some times it gets too hard to keep track, but I try. I haven’t done a pumpkin video yet as I haven’t found them in my dollar stores here in Canada. Maybe one day. 😊😊😊
I have watched a lot of videos and finally came across yours. You have taught me so much and easily. Making wreaths and bows. Thanks for sharing your talents with me.
Just moved into a 55+ neighborhood. They have a weekly craft class that I attended last evening. We learned how to make bows. Our teacher creates wreaths to sell at local craft fairs and I was intrigued. Today I hit Dollar Tree and bought $30+ worth of ribbon and a 14” frame. I’m going to attempt to make a fall wreath for my front door! Your tutorial has been a lifesaver!! Thank you so much for the easy to follow instructions and demos. New subscriber here😊
Hi Adric. That is amazing you moved into a 55+ community. My mother lives in one as well and she just loves it there, I hope you are enjoying it as well. That is great that you are trying out wreath making, I wish you all the best in your wreath journey....don't forget to have fun with it. I know I enjoy it a tremendous amount!!! Take care and thank you so much. 😊
something that looks so complicated and you can make it so easy , your videos are straight to the point, no waffling for ages, your tutorial has given me the confidence to have ago, thanks x
What a great tutorial! I’m about to make my first wreath and this helped so much! Dave you’re so great to watch, you seem so sweet and adorable. Thank you so much!
Hands down the BEST mesh wreath tutorial I've ever watched! Thank you for the clear instructions... You made everything make sense. And you have an awesome laugh! Really a joy to watch! 💙
Omgosh!!!! I just watched the video "six ways to make a deco mesh wreath" and you made it look so easy. Your video was 💯 easy to understand for people like me. I have NEVER made a wreath, but now I can't wait to get started and share my final product. Thank You
Hi Becky...thank you so very much for watching and for such a wonderful comment. I sincerely appreciate it. That's great that you're going to start making your own wreaths, and yes, I can't wait to see the final results. Thanks again. 😃
Thank you a thousand times for the perfect instructions that I could never find with other videos. I've seen beautiful wreaths with deco mesh taught with the focus being on how to cut and mold the mesh but NO ONE ever told you were to attach them to the wire frame!!!! It was so frustrating so I just did whatever. I stumbled upon your video tonight and had to tell you how thankful I am to finally understand that the positions of the mesh are important. I'm saving your video and have subscribed to your channel. You're a very patient teacher. Thank you again and again.
Thank you so much Sharon. What a great comment to read first thing in the morning. You totally made my day. I am so so happy you found this video to be helpful. And I'm hoping you will create some of your own wreaths without any frustration on how to attach the mesh to the frame. Don't forget to have fun with it. Have a great day.
You are freaking ADORABLE! I absolutely LOVE watching your videos! You explain it PERFECTLY, you don't overdo it, you don't under do it... And you are so sweet! I love the giggles! You're precious, keep it up honey!!!!🥰
Hi there...thank you so much for watching and for this amazing comment...you totally made my week and I'm grinning from ear to ear after reading it. I'm so glad you enjoyed this video. Take care.
Thank you Dave for your beginner's video o wreathmaking. I love the curly ribbon method. I don't have a 7 inch mat so I used a piece of cardboard and made a template strengthening it with craft sticks. It really works well, the craft sticks keeps the cardboard from bending. This is my absolute favorite way of making wreaths. 😊
Hi Sharon, that is such a clever and genius idea to use the craft sticks behind the cardboard. You are such a genius!!! HAHA. Great way to use your resources. Happy wreath making and thank you. 😊😊😊
I watched several videos and yours was way more cost effective. I tried the ruffled one. I love it! Thank you so much for sharing these videos. I look forward to watching even more! And that voice of yours is so calming to listen to! What an awesome teacher you are! Thanks again! And I hope you have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Valentines Day! PS I hope you are planning to make a video for 💝 Valentines Day
I live in Scotland and have never made a wreath before (or even thought about it) saw your videos last week and today hung my first one on the door! Thanks for making it easy.
Wow what a fab and easy tutorial, I’ve always struggled with these types of wreath and given up in the past but your explanation of how to make them was so clear and simple so thank u 😊
I see you've got this comment so many times but I've got to say it too...THANK YOU, you make such beautiful wreaths and you're an even better teacher. I've tried making wreaths twice before but I gave up, but there has been such an urge to still do this. Thank you so much for this, i bought my items again for a third try thanks to you. Getting started tonight. I have not had a chance to look at your other videos yet but I'm about to. If you haven't done one on finishing off with decorations I could really use some pointers. Have a great night 🌙 stay fabulous!!
Hi Julie. Thank you so much for watching and for leaving such a fantastic comment. You totally made my entire day brighter with your words. I have been asked to show how I finish off my wreaths and what I buy....I am doing a video this week that shows how to make a Ruffle style wreath...and then next week, I am showing how I decorate it. Let me know how your wreath turns out. I am hoping third time is a charm, and I'm always here to help too. You take care as well. Have a good day. 😁
The tip on wrapping and the deco mesh around your cutting board was a light bulb moment. Also thanks for including the comment about not letting it go after you cut one side. I just did this and it saved me so much time and snagged clothes. I also like that you don't wrap the mesh so tightly. I like a mixed look and was getting frustrated.
Dave this is the best wreath tutorial I’ve seen. I’ve been trying to make wreaths for a year and have been so frustrated with the videos I’ve watch till I found yours! Thank you so much.
Hi Pam....What an amazing comment to read first thing in the morning. Thank you so much for watching and leaving such kind words. I hope you enjoy your wreath making adventures...it's a lot of fun...and addicting. LOL. Take care and thanks again.
I know this video is a tad old, but i juat have to say thank you sooooooooooo very much❤ i have tried and tried to do wreaths but nrvrr had any luck. Ivr watched a ton of videos how to make a wreath and none of thrm helped. Thanks to you i now know how to make them. Thank you thank you thank you❤❤❤
Hi Joan...YAY....that's amazing that you just started crafting. I will agree, it is such a wonderful and fun hobby. I love doing it. Have fun making your ruffle wreath. It's a great method. Have a good day. 😁
Oh my goodness, Mr. Dave, I'm new to wreath making . Thank you so much for very clear video instructions. You have turned my aggrevation into oh my God I can actually do this. Thank you so much.😀😁
I have never ever made a wreath before and this was the best tutorial I’ve seen. Thank you so much! I appreciate you being so clear and step oriented. I love the wreath I made now :)❤️
Hi Scarlett...thank you so much for watching and for such a lovely comment. I hope you are enjoying your wreath making and have a lot of fun with it. Take care.
Hey, Dave. Best tutorial on wreath making I've seen. Very easy to follow and I can see exactly what you are doing. Camera angle is perfect. No pudgy fingers in the way - ha! Recently got back into wreath making after many years and the first one I made was a burlap one, my favorite. Now I'm branching out and need to step it up using mesh. I found using mesh a little daunting because of the fraying but a wood burning tool has taken care of that. I'm bookmarking this video!! Thanks for your creativity!!
Hi PK....Awww thank you so much for your continued support. I appreciate it soooo much. Oh that's great that you are back to making wreaths again. YAY!!! And burlap are my FAVOURITE wreaths to make, just love them. Let me know how your wood burning tool works out. I'm thinking of buying one as well. Thanks again.
@@DavesWreaths Hello! I have used my wood burning tool. You have to use them in a well ventilated area. I prefer to use mine outdoors. When cutting through mesh it gives off a vapor-like smoke and you don't want to inhale that. A mask is recommended or, if using indoors, a respirator. I prefer outdoors. The wood burner seals the ends of the mesh as it cuts and NO FRAYING - Yahoo!! I suggest cutting your mesh on a piece of smooth wood. A glass cutting board is a little slippery. It takes a few cuts to get used to it. I use the tool point that looks like the end of a ballpoint pen. (comes with several interchangeable points). Very pleased with this method of cutting mesh although it's a bit different. Happy weekend!
I do enjoy watching your videos I fell confident believing that I'll be just as good as you are you're patient explain every step in making weaths I'm about to
I love that a man is doing this wreath. I had to subcribe and hope to see more from you. I love your great direction and excellect explanition in description. I can listen to you talk all day. Make a craft book for dummies or videos for craft dummies I'll support the channel and even invest and be a sponsor. I wish I 2as able to give instructions with such confidence and not once did you miss a beat on explaining the creation. Just wow!! Thank you so much.
Hi Alicia...thank you so much for watching and subscribing. I really appreciate it. You will definitely see more videos from me in the future as well. I am so happy to hear you like my way of teaching, that is great to hear such good feedback. Thanks so much and take care.
I’m just going to begin making wreaths. I have gone through hours of of different videos and was about to just give up until I saw this one. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your video was so easy to understand. Now I feel confident I can make the different styles. Did you know you laugh exactly like James Spader on the ‘Blacklist’😄
I just watched your tutorial on making a deco mesh wreath! What a great tutorial. You make it look so easy. I just bought mesh from the Dollar Tree earlier today, didn't know what I was going to do with it. Now I do! I've subscribed to your channel! 😃
Love your directions. You make it so easy. I have failed so many times before at making wreaths. Now I can see where I went wrong. Thank you so much for the tutorial.
Hi Andrea. I'm so sorry to hear about your hands and the nerve damage. Thank you for watching and for your kind comment, I am so happy to hear this helped you. Take care. 😊
Dave, I love the loop and curl method though I use the ruffle method, myself using 2 rolls per each section..yes I love a chubby wreath also. Thanks so much for teaching us all the different styles
Hi Dale. Thank you so much for your comment and for watching my video. I do love the ruffle method as well and we are similar with our likes of a chubby wreath. Great minds think alike. 😊😊😊
Hi Trudy...thank you so much for watching and for such an amazing comment. You totally put a smile on my face and made my day. Thank you again. Have a good day!!!
You have done a fabulous job demonstrating and teaching how to make these beautiful wreaths! I've seen one other video making it with burlap and now watching yours, I will not need to watch anymore. I just need to gather my materials and get started. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video.
Hi Tracy, thank you so much for taking the time to watch my videos and to write this lovely comment. It is appreciated so much. Have fun wreath making!!! Take care.
I just checked my mesh supply and seeing I didn’t have 6 of the same, I decided to try 3 different colors. Then you mentioned that’s a good possibility. Thanks Dave!
I've never made a mesh wreath but my MIL has requested one, so off to RU-vid to learn how. Your tutorial is the best one I've seen and now I have the confidence to get started. Thank you so much!!! And I love your voice, so calming.😁
Hi Jana…I’m so glad you have the confidence now to start a wreath. Don’t forget the main thing is to have fun with it. 😊😊😊. Thanks for watching and for the amazing comment.
I saved your video to show a friend of mine who makes wreaths, but wanted to watch it first myself to see if it might be helpful to her. Well, now I can't wait to try several of your methods myself, if not all of them! Your wreaths are all so beautiful! And as well, some people are just born teachers and you are, because you make it sound so doable and kept me very interested in each method! Thank you so much for this video! I can't wait to share it with my friend and to make a wreath myself!!
Hi Kat...thank you so much. That is such a nice comment to read in the morning. You just totally made my day. I hope you both enjoy making your wreaths as much as I enjoy making them. It's a fun little hobby. Take care and thanks again.
Love your vid Dave. Instructions so simply said so it's easy peezy to follow. Love the way you've stated the measurements needed for the projects. Your humour was the bonus! Cheers Dave. Well done!
Hi Zoidmo...thank you so much for watching and for such a kind comment. You totally made my day with your wonderful words. I'm happy you enjoyed the video. Take care and thanks again.
Thank you so much for your great tutorials! Beautiful!!😍 You explained everything I’ve had questions about when it comes to the bubble method. I’ve been attempting to do the three-color method so I look forward to seeing your tutorial on it
I dont know how many wreath videos I've watched, just anticipating the idea of starting these wreaths.. you seriously just took all of my doubt and amxiety away. These videos are so thorough and take all of the guesswork out of making them. You are, by far, the best and most informative person who has ever instructed a tutorial on the wreaths. And you made it look so much easier than everyone else has. We needed this.Thank you, and please continue to make videos. You are amazing at this.
Hi there, thank you so very much for watching and for such a kind comment. I appreciate that. I'm so happy to hear that this video took the anxiety of making wreaths away for you. I hope you get to your wreath making and enjoy it as much as I do. Take care and thank you again. 😊

I was searching for a new way to make a mesh wreath and found your channel. I purchased an egg shaped wreath for my Easter projects and found pink, aqua, and lavender color mesh rolls. I’m going to try this new roll method and I think it’ll be beautiful!! Thanks for the easy tutorial. I loved your grey wreath!! Thanks so much!!!
Thank you so much Gina. I'm so glad you liked the video and are going to make your own Easter wreath. I love the colours your choose for the mesh rolls. It will look amazing I am sure!! Have fun wreath making 😃😃😃
Hi Dave. Thank you so much for such clear instructions. I was so inspired after watching this video that I stayed up until a little after 5 a.m. and finished prepping for my curls Halloween wreath. Since I did not have to go to work because of Henri, after breakfast I got started attaching my curl bundles. It was so easy and so efficient. I am so pleased with how my base turned out. Now I have to figure out how to embellish. Now the real fun begins. =)
Hi Kare....OH WOW!!!!! 5am!!! LOL. That's amazing. I'm soooo happy that you were that inspired!!! You must have had a lot of coffee to keep you going up till that hour. I'm so glad that your base curly wreath turned out the way you wanted it too. You are so right, the real fun is adding all the embellishments and your own personal flare to it. That's what makes wreath making SO much fun for me! Thanks for such an amazing message, you totally made my day.
This video is exactly what I was looking for on how to make a beautiful wreath using deco mesh ribbon! I've seen several similar wreaths on other posts, however, none of them gave clear and concise instructions as you did. Your calm and relaxed tutorial made me feel like I sitting down with a friend for some afternoon crafting over coffee (or a glass of wine). So again, thank you for sharing your talent with us. And, I agree, your laugh/giggle is pretty adorable! 😊😄
Hi Marlene...thank you so much for such a wonderful and heart felt comment. I am smiling from ear to ear right now, and this totally made my day. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and my instructions. That makes it all worth the while for me, so I appreciate your words. Yes....crafting and coffee (and sometimes wine too...lol) do go hand in hand don't they. HAHA. Take care and thank you again for such a lovely comment. 😊
hey Dave!! awesome tutorials for making bows! I'm a "beginner crafter" and your videos are one of the best ones i have seen! you made the video with short, simple, yet clear verbal & visual instructions! can you use any basic wired ribbon or any basic UNWIRED ribbon? Or does it's absolutely have to be the deco mesh?
Just found your channel 😃 your description of how to is very easy to understand. I love how you made the bubble wreath. It is so full and pretty. I’ve made bubble wreathes before using 21 inch mesh..but, I really like your method.I’m going to give it a try! tfs❤️🇺🇸

I am so glad I came across your channel. I hate to cut deco mesh, but I love wreaths with a deco mesh base. Your bubble wreaths are perfect for me. I like the look of 8". I have done 10" but did not care for them so stopped using deco mesh. But you have inspired me to get some deco mesh! THANX!!!!
Hi John, thank you so much for watching and for such a great comment. I really appreciate it. And I'm so happy to hear you're inspired...YAY...I hear you on the cutting the deco mesh, there's beauty in the deco mesh, but it can be a beast sometimes...LOL...Have fun wreath making!!! Take care.
Dave ti scrivo da Napoli, sei eccezionale, I tuoi progetti meravigliosi, sei incredibile.... Tutto da fare sicuramente... Molto chiaro e semplice nell'esecuzione... So beautiful.. Thank you....

@@DavesWreaths thank u thank u u r the only one I understand when teaching how to make any wreaths.I NEVER MADE ANYTHING LIKE THESE.I gave as presents and can't believe how many people wanted on
Wow!! I've watched hundreds of wreath-making videos, and this is by far the best! Dave, your explanations are so easy to follow. I love how precise your measurements are, and the best part is that you have no wasted effort! Putting the pipe cleaners on while attaching the mesh and tying them on the back of the wreath makes sooo much sense, and the back of the wreath almost as pretty as the front. Thank you!!
Idk why i love how happy he is teaching us these methods, and how he laughs. I caught myself smiling and laughing along, then I'm like wait this isn't a funny tutorial why am I having fun lol
I recently moved and had to declutter some decor items that were just old. Once I get settled in our new residence, I plan to try and make my own wreaths. I appreciate this video very much. Thank you for sharing. Happy crafting to all. 😊
Hi Alma...thank you so much for watching and for such a great comment. I hope you do get the chance to make your own wreaths for your new home. Take care and happy crafting to you as well. 😊😊😊
Hi Kathy...Yes, they are easy to make...and addictive...so be careful. LOL. Once you make one, they multiply like rabbits. HAHA. Thanks so much for watching. 😀😀😀
You are absolutely amazing! It’s so kind of you to show so many different methods here in one video. So if I need to reference something, I have only this one video to return to. I feel like I can actually make a wreath after watching your video. You’re so talented so I’m not expecting mine to look like that but with your instruction, I think I’ll do ok. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I’m so very grateful. 👏 😊 💜

These instructions are the best. So thorough and easy to understand. Thank you so much for doing them. And the wreaths are just beautiful. I’m so glad I “found” you through a hop.
Yay!!!! This turned out great!!! I am actually going to use the curly roll up method today!!! I am so excited and have learned so much from your amazing tutorials! You make it so easy and step by step that I know I can do it!!!! Keep up the great videos!!! I just love them all and I love that you put all of them together for a great mega marathon with DAVE!! You are so talented!!!! Thanks again for sharing!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am just watching your video and seeing you do the curly bundle. HAHAH. WOOHOO!!! And you did it perfectly. Loved how it turned out and I loved how you took that idea and created a little something different with it. BRILLIANT!!!! I am so glad you are happy with the compilation video. I was unsure of how it would turn out, but after reading some feedback, I think it was a good choice. Plus, people were asking for it....so I gave it to them. HAHA. THANKS SOOZIE❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Update. I made my wreath!!! I used 3 different colors, and it turned out amazing! I hate having to store all different types of holiday decorations:( I wanted universal type of wreath. I used white, green, white w/ speckles. Nailed it. All items from dollar tree! Just in case:)
Hi there...that is so amazing to hear and I love the sound of your mesh colours. And yes, a versatile wreath is a good way to go. Thanks for sharing your story. Take care
I saw a wreath that I want to replicate and I was trying to figure out how this deco mesh wreath was made. I have made wreaths using a couple of the methods myself, but didn't recognize the method used for this wreath. Your video helped me to figure it out. It looks like the bubble method. The only difference is that they have attached cut pieces of coordinating ribbon at some of the indentions where the mesh is attached to the wreath form. I think I will try this to see how it comes out. Great, easy to understand tutorial!
Hi there, thank you so much for watching my video and leaving a comment. I appreciate it. I am so happy you were able to find the method of wreath you were looking for. The bubble method is one of my favourites to do. I hope you have fun making your bubble wreath. Enjoy and happy wreath making. 😊😊😊
