Dear brother, please try to understand that whichever team is participating in the CWC is there for a reason. Each team has qualified the performance barriers to be there. So, I really don't understand why lesser playing teams are always labelled as minnows. I believe all teams should be treated with equal respect. Any team can defeat any other team on a given day. For decades, these morale breaking remarks about "minnows" have very highly contributed towards them not rising much.

In the world of sports, respect is earned rather than given equally, no doubt Afghanistan is gaining that year by year. In my eyes, minnows are teams that don’t play the highest level of cricket, Test Cricket. Most developing countries deserve the tag minnow when you look at their win/loss record and viewership numbers
