60 Minute Vinyasa Flow for Vitality

This is a 60 minute vinyasa flow for vitality. Class begins in reclined supported bound angle pose giving you an opportunity to land in your body and connect with your breath. A short sequence of functional core work follows to help you feel strong and steady at the centre of your body. Continue to flow through surya namaskar A and standing postures - warriors, lunges and twists to hydrate your body with fluid movement. A final energizer sequence for your thighs & glutes before slowing down and lengthening the muscles you've just worked. Class concludes with a hip groin stretch, twist and returns to reclined bound angle pose or shavasana for the last 5 minutes.
Props: Blanket optional.

Good Morning! Thank you, Fiona! Excellent practice for me. I did have to back up the video o few times to GET IT! 🤣 The coffee, apparently, has not kicked in! I loved the variety, the use of the blanket, the balance and shavasshana was very good! I was floating! I love starting my day with you and all the invisible but present yogis from around the world! Very grateful!🪂🧘🏻‍♀️🌠🙏

@@TwoBirdsYoga no radical cures but can’t play tennis back to back days and PT did help. They are improving a little but don’t have total inflection on the left side and can’t bend it more than 90 degrees. Thanks for asking and caring

What she said! ...absolutely perfect pace for feeling into the flow and into the poses. My second class with you Fiona and I'm loving it. I also love how you dub your voice over the class, often I find instructors rushing a little as they are trying to breath and speak and flow all at once. Amazing class yet again. Namaste 🙏

Awesome! So humbled by your comments and community feedback. It’s so much easier for me to pre record. I’ve found my audio is not as clear when I wear a mic.... and yes, it’s hard to talk and do smoothly. I’m finding this out in my live classes, but getting the hang of it now. So glad I discovered this video from 2 years ago today. The bit of strengthening mixed in with some longer holds and fluid flow.were perfect for me this morning. And I loved reclined supported bound angle pose using a blanket! The posture felt so relaxing at the end of practice that I fell asleep during shavasana. :) Thank you, as always, Fiona!

As always, good cuing: press down through your feet to rise, weight in heels, press through heel, flex toes, or perimeter of hands in contact with mat. So basic, but important for good foundation and no injury. Thank you, Fiona. Namaste!

@@TwoBirdsYoga It took some thought to arrive at Urdhva Dhaburasana, I confess - until I realised what you mentioned also during ShoulderBridge in a former lesson: the knees go forward here, then it's easy, the breath lifts one like on its own

Another class and still a great yoga. I am practicing for 9 years but I am discovering my body, its balances and also new sensations. I realise I didn't get this before. The low pace suits me perfectly. It gets me in position to have my body awarness and feel its balances. Thank you a lot Fiona. JJ

I too love a slow flow. The more you practice, the more aware of subtler layers of yourself. It feels more meditative and cleansing to go slow and tune in. I’m so glad your enjoying practice. Thanks JJ

This was my chosen class today. Great movement session. Challenging in parts but achievable. Definitely a sneaky burn towards the ends in the flutes 😉. Enjoyed the twists, strength and lengthening end to this. Thanks so much
