60's Drag Racing in Oklahoma

Being a very big fan of vintage drag racing history this is an excellent video with top named drivers, look at the very young Don Garlits and Don the Snake Prudhomme. Thank you for sharing

Bennie osborn was a big popular favorite here in Tulsa but the Fords were had to overcome.

baney and prudome. lou baney had a gas station garage with ed pink his mechanic early 50's. ed pink opened his own shop Pink's inc somewhere around culver city before moving to the valley. lou ran saugus drag strip which was S-6 sky ranch airport. he worked for the yeakel bros cad and oldsmobile dealership. baney was also a member of the screwdrivers of culver city hot rod club that ran el mirage. check it out on F B. wonder if they had a pink or Keith Black motor.
