You make a great point! While they may have had their struggles, their reputations certainly weren’t defined by it. Which of their films do you think best showcases their talent?
I know they are going to get around to, William Holden, unless I missed it. He was a great actor, and had a sense of humor. Shame, he was so handsome, but the ravishes of alcoholism, aged him early. He tragically died alone, while drinking, he fell down, and hit his head hard, around the fireplace, he was knocked out and bled to death. He was found days later.😔
Yes, Joan Crawford’s reputation for her off-screen behavior is well-documented. Have you read or watched any accounts that particularly stood out to you?
@@almaconnor9171 The people are dead. They aren’t here to defend themselves. Why do people like you like always look at the negative??? They left a mark in this world because of their talent. Would you like to be remembered for being an alcoholic long after your death or be remembered for your good deeds n achievements? Let’s try n remove hate when we can.
@@thefamouspeopleus No one story, however that alcohol affected so many from all backgrounds, successful, beautiful & gifted. An undeniably insidious addiction. Leonard Nimoy probably surprised me most. The few folks that were able to overcome dependency is most surprising. So few. So sad.
betty ford??? absolutely NOT a 'stars in hollywood'! maybe well known and did something good by doing the clinic, but that still doesn't make her a hollywood star.
@@thefamouspeopleus No the names don't surprise me that's what people say. But for example Dean Martin i have read that this was only his image. He went every day to eat with his family, I don't think that he was drunk than. What people think and what realy is are not always the same. 😉🙂
@@thefamouspeopleus I can remember Bela lugosi as it's my mate's favourite Guy and Judy Garland because I've watched so much about a tragic life stories and documentaries it was just interesting to listen to and watch nice to know these things
