no wonder I was confused its actually Hill St., Hope in Tasman District not Nelson and while you are drooling TDC is the highest rated council in NZ mainly due to the $200 million duckpond they were conned into building

I agree. I personally like hard edges but you can do so much more with them. Use different colors and be playful with the angles. This looks like someone dropped a temporary home in there and didn’t even bother to integrate it into the landscape.

This look is way overrated now nothing special no matter how they try to design it, modern day houses all looks the same that’s why old architecture had more character and uniqueness feel like it needs to make a comeback or a mix of the two in an interesting way
