seems like dexter really understands the TRUE fundamentals of hunting. you dont always have to take the shot even if its right there, sometimes you can just enjoy the moment
My dad is this way, he loves hunting and always has. He gets so excited to hunt he can’t sleep at night some times. He’ll hunt every day of the season and see plenty of deer more often than not, but he doesn’t usually shoot unless it’s a monster or we need meat. He really just loves getting out there and experiencing all of it and I think any true hunters could all agree with that.
@@twwenty1 learned everything i know abt guns, hunting, fishing, cars etc. from my dad. but i always really appreciated his love for the forest and the ocean
That's how I feel. I feel really bad every time I kill an animal, and make sure it doesn't have any young. I don't take the prime ones or the trophies, but the ones that are naturally on the outs. If you cook meat slow, it doesn't matter the cut or age of the animal. And it sickens me that people eat the equivalent of children in animals because it's more "tender". That's lazy cooking
He nearly killed him you never shoot an animal next to someone while hunting, but theres other reasons why he killed him, not shown in this clip either way @SlimyOrifice
Yea a lot of serial killers were calm when most people went of rampages, but when they went on one, they were to be feared for they knew what they were doing
@@itsdido3212yeah but most "killers" are just evil people who want control, Dexter even while slicing through mounds of flesh only ever had the intent of protecting people
@andrewhodges813 not at all a comparison. Especially considering neither can be passed down through genetics (well, albino can only be passed down if BOTH parents possess the gene). Albino deer are typically seen as good omens amongst many people and are therefore protected under law in several states. And possibly many other places around the globe.
@@dukethegamer1308If he was about to shoot it I don't think he'd have put his gun away and walked up to it and looked into it's eyes, really dumb comment man
@@jake62265 I wasn't referring to the 2nd part of his comment, the first half was the issue, but even then we don't know what the writers would have done if they hadn't made it white, could've done the same scene and it'd make no difference.
It’s really sad because Dexter was trying to satiate his need to kill but ended up starting to see the beauty of life, then that dude just capped the deer like nothing
A thing my grandparents told me was to never shoot a white buck, deer, or any type of animal. They said you’d get a hell of some bad luck if you ever shot them
Where im from there is a superstition that spotting a white deer means misfortune, When my Grandma was sick she saw one and thats when she "Knew" she would die And well she did
@@i2ottenBannana But that wasn’t what the comment was saying, it shouldn’t be this hard to understand. He was saying it REMINDED HIM of a scene from TWD, not that it was like TWD.
@lil_kozy7773 Idiot confirmed. Orange vest or not gun safety 101 Don’t shoot when someone's downwind or close to the target. Unless you're prepared for return fire, jail time, or that someone is the target given other circumstances involving Military and Police.
yeah i agree the guy should have just waited at the very least for him to move away but preferably for dexter to get completely away and only then kill it so he doesnt know
@@landonnichuals4972Killing for fun is wrong in any context - psychos just get an excuse because of hunting culture. Unpopular opinion, but if you’re not hunting for food then you’re trying to scratch a violent itch.
This kinda reminds me of something my dad told me about. He said one of his friends from high school ended up murdering some people. Apparently the thing all of them had in common was they were all deer hunters and had a goatee in fact I think the guy called the cops and admitted he was the one they were looking for and when questioned over the phone the reason, he said he still has some tags left (referring to deer tags). My dad (also a deer hunter) said while his “friend” was on this killing spree he actually came to our house and was asking my mom where he was, at the time my dad was at the hunting camp in the next state over hunting deer, and apparently the guy was asking weird questions to my mom like “how do you feel about how he is always gone, hunting?”. My dad said either the guy was there to kill him next or he was there to pay my dad back cause he owed $50. My dad also said he think the friend did it because he apparently really liked deer, in fact he even had a pet deer and he trained his dogs to not go after deer, only rabbits. So my dad thinks his friend basically went insane (not sure what caused it) and proceeded to go on a murder spree, targeting deer hunter with goatee’s the guy is still in jail I wasn’t told his name though. I think this took place sometime between 2017 and 2019. This could be some bs story my dad made up. EDIT: I guess it wasn’t some BS story just looked it up and found some articles on it apparently the guys name was Ryan Sharpe went on a murder spree in Louisiana
So I googled this name... In the reports, he admitted to KILLING a deer to fulfill his tags, which completely disregards the whole "he loved deer story" Also, the article I found was from 2018... I find it hard to believe that you went 6 years without wondering/googling it for yourself BEFORE this comment that "randomly" brought you back to it (if it's on your mind often, you'd look into it). This just seems like a fake ass comment to me. My research is saying you know about this story, and acted like it's a family friend. Nowhere did it mention targeting deer hunters or men with goatees... his entire confession was "him fulfilling tags for the government" Carrol Breeden also did NOT have a goatee, but a regular beard. In fact, a majority of them had regular beards and not goatees😂
@@kaasvis1421 based on the article I think it was 2019, at least it was saying 2019 was when he was found guilty of the murders. I think he killed 2 and attempted to kill a third, though I may be wrong he might have killed more
This is one of the first shorts I've seen to properly use music according to what's being shown on screen. Thank you for not playing the same default song for the entire duration at a ridiculously noticeable volume
Any hunter with knowledge and respect and in someplaces law, understands you DO NOT ever shoot an albino animal. It is a cursed act and in some beliefs can hex your family line for generations.
I don't think there's anything wrong with trophy hunting. I think it's pretty neat to preserve an animal whether it's in the form of a rug, clothing, a head mount or a full body Taxidermide. I'd say it's arguably less wasteful than just eating the meat.
@@jaredflynn3750Trophy hunting has caused the extinction of many species as well as brought many more to the brink of it. There is a lot wrong with it.
@@SamuraiSilverhand You could literally say the exact same thing about hunting for food. Plenty of species were driven to extinction because they were Considered delicacies. There's good and bad trophy hunters Just like there's good and bad regular hunters. It's an overhunting issue. Not a trophy hunting issue buddy.
I heard a story from my grandpa who he and all his buddies saw a spirit deer (white buck that isn’t albino) while hunting the property down the road. Everyone let it go except for a young hunter and thankfully he missed. But his grandpa made sure he’d never hear the end of it so win win
Very symbolic too I imagine. Perhaps this grace Dexter was feeling in the presence of the deer representing his freedom/sanctity wasn't fully earned. His violent past came back knocking.
I put my gun down almost 12 years ago when my buddy shot a buck and i went there first and our eyes met for just 3 seconds and that buck closed his eyes. That day still haunts me every now and then.
I feel like this was the point where Dexter was symbolically choosing life and was seeing hw beautiful it is just to be reminded of how ugly it can be as well with Matt ruining this perfect, And what could have been a transformative moment for Dexter just gone in a snap... cold snap!
Seneca white deer are commonly confused with albino deer because seneca white deer are one of the only species of deer that are…. White. Albino have pink eyes.
@@PerryKobalt no, they aren’t going extinct. These specific deer are made from a very rare genetic variation, which makes them appear to be nearly extinct. Their numbers raise as time goes on, it’s just that so little of them exist they have small numbers. Their numbers however are not dwindling.
This scene for some reason makes me think of my dad who was the most scrappiest Marine/man I knew, but he hated hunting. Hated people that hunted. He’d always say I’d rather hunt bad people than hurt an innocent animal. Really miss that man everyday of my life, I’m glad I had him there to raise me and make me the man I am today. I love you dad Rest in Power my brother. See you again one day ❤
Yeah no as a hunter myself, valid fkn response. “Know what is around your target and beyond your target” might have a perfect shot on a deer but if it’s right in front of a house you can’t shoot it. If it’s next to a fkn busy road ya can’t shoot it. So yeah YOU OBVIOUSLY CANT SHOOT IT WHEN ITS PHYSICALLY INTERACTING WITH ANOTHER PERSON

Because it’s more sustainable as well as adds greatly to the actual conservation of it at least here in the states with licensing, seasons, tags, breeding programs. The president who created the National park act was a massive hunter/outdoorsman. Rough & ready Teddy.
One thing too is this was a spirit buck; spirit animals are called that because they're not albino, just white. They're incredibly good luck and are very rare too. If you kill one it's said to bring bad luck.
Таких животных остаются мало , они очень редкие и могут просто из вида сдохнуть ! Этот мужик поступил правильно и не стрелял в него потому что знает что эти животные ( редкие )
Dexter connecting with an animal like this is extra sad because he just wants to prove to himself that he's a good person worthy of love despite everything he's done. And then that connection is yanked away from him and replaced with bloodlust again
If I recall it is illegal to kill an albino anything in America because they are so rare and if they survive to adulthood it means they are super damn lucky however if it has even a small dot on its fur/skin/scales it is legal
