Well worth a try mate ! I’ve not ridden the v strom but a mate of mine got it and wished he went for the bigger model straight away, where as I’ve not thought that with this 650, as of yet

@@Murraymoto Thanks for the reply mate. I get asked the same question, would I swap for the 1000? To be honest, I've never felt a lack of power, the bike revs to 10K and I've never had it anyway near that on the road. Might be different for 2 up and a heavy load for a long trip. Keep up the great Vids mate.

Hi Gary ! So I’m a little shorter but noticed it too, the deflector I got was genuinely a simple cheap one off Amazon, I think I paid £25 for it , was looking at all the top brands but got that one until I found a screen etc, ended up doing the job fine ! Rode to Scotland , wales, done some big trips and it’s been spot on !

Hsve a Great Ride I have a Z650 2020.. have owned Bigger Bikes but they are costly to Run & Maintain The 650 is plenty on UK Roads With 50 mph Limits every where

@Murraymoto hi that's for getting back to me. I have a cb500s and a 97 vfr, so this will be more of a comfortable bike and still a fun bike I hope. Will be going from near Nottingham to the lakes in early September so I hope to go on my new (lol) versys.

Lovely bikes ! The vfr was a contender for me ! Just got myself a ninja for the summer ! But the versys is my daily ! You’ll be so much more comfy on that, proper touring bike! I’m hoping to get up the country in September.. not sure if I’m gonna tackle Scotland again or wales !

@Murraymoto the vfr is lovely but it's a heavy bike , but once moving its lovely. The v 4 motor is a gem and it was made when bike were made to last

Yes, the 7 to 10 rpm is fast powerband... i cruise at 95mph with ease and twist to 120mph but gas millage is best at 95mph... i have medium givi windscreen and blast through very windy, gusty days at 90mph.... greetings from Arizona dave 2015 versy 650
