Back in Blue & on the main line again! No.7 attacked Llanvihangel summit both ways with the Welsh Marches Express from Bristol TM to Shrewsbury & return.
This was No.7 first main line outing in Blue since its major overhaul.
There were 12 coaches plus the D1924 at the rear
The tour started in Paignton, Devon & was hauled by two class 47's to Bristol for the steam leg.
60007 performed magnificently throughout. Not a leak to be seen.
It was wonderful to see an A4 at speed again.
The train was 20 mins down at Abergavenny on the outward run & 15 mins late departing Hereford on the return.
It seemed to fly up Llanvihangel on the return but I guess that was because of assistance from the rear propelling it forward.
