Umm, it's a 1.3 litre not 2.6, each rotor is 700cc, hence the 13B name.

It goes down as a 2.6 on insurance though. Not sure why but my old one did .

True but it still breaths the same amount of air as a 4 stroke 2.6L 4cyl piston engine.

they're both correct, each rotor face is 654cc, 2 rotor faces =1,308cc although to measure it in piston terms it does equate to a 2.6L

Well, if we're getting technical it's actually a 3.9L 😂😂 Each chamber is 650cc, but each rotor has 3 of these chambers which all fire on one revolution of the rotor, and there are two rotors. So 6 x 650cc = 3900cc. Kind of weird to get your head round, but they're fundamentally different to piston engines, so the displacement is hard to directly compare.

@@duttysupra It's weird though because it's still a 1.3 when it comes to tax. My 94 is in the cheaper tax bracket which is under 1.6 😅

Good review, it is made by Mazda not by Alfa so I wouldn't be that scared taking it out. I have driven an RX8 as a daily from 2004 until recently when I detonated the clutch doing a burn out so yep that is 18 years, just oil change, plugs and coils when required. Rebuilt motors are probably the area where I would be wary, just because who knows who touched it and what kind of job they've done, plus rebuilds don't get the same kind of mileage without problems from what I have seen. Im 6'4 mate and i've had an FD near 10 years, its tight, but you can fit into a Non sunroof model.

This madman actually closed the door on an FD like a normal car. For those who do not know the FD is known to have cardboard quality interior parts that breaks almost by just looking at it. most FD owners usually close their doors by rolling down the window and holding on the outside of the window frame to close the door.

this man speaks the truth lol. before anyone new comes into my car i have to literally give them a run down about how to get in and out of the car. exactly as you said windows down and use the door frame to open and shut. even the latch on the inside of the car you gotta make sure they know how to get out because most people dont actually know how to open the door from the inside. also the seatbelt has a lanyard type of thing on the front seat ive had a friend break it becvause its frail plastic she the seatbelt has to be done nice and slowly too.

Nah man, maybe on early FDs but not later ones. Mine is 95 model. Never been that afraid to close the door right. The map pocket lid in the driver door however. I open that with surgical hands.
