Thanks, I appreciate it. The weak point in these are the connecting rods, but that's simple enough to swap out for more ponies if I need them.

M54 for now in the e46, potential for a turbo add, but want to get it running first.

@carwerks101 I imagine it's about the same with the stagger vs inline and one less. Can't say I've heard of the 8hp, what are those out of? (Google brings me to lawn mowers and BMW auto gearboxes)

@@269Garage zf 8hp out of a few cars and it’s a pretty common swap, I can get a controller and control it, currently running a t5 on the Exocet now

Michigan, where we have two seasons, winter and road construction. Yeah they're terrible. There's a few roads that are nice and smooth though.

@269garage yes winter and construction. I live near Erie Pennsylvania and drove to Michigan to monkey wrench racing for parts and installs for my mr2 Spyder in Michigan last year. The road construction in May last year was hellish and it was like driving on gravel on the highways because of all of the construction and debris. Bumpy ride and easily had my car side ways on accident cause I didn't realize all the dirt tracked on to the highway 😞
