Ev's are the best for one whose daily commute is around 100 to 150 kms., Like one of my friend bought nexon and the distance between his home and factory is around 40 kms, he usually drove around 100-120 kms a day and his father own crysta and mother drive honda jazz automatic., For him nexon ev is blessing as he saves daily around 700 to 800 rs of fuel(he own venue diesel before this which give milage of 15 to 18) . Nexon cost him around 16 lakhs which is normal for any good mid size SUV like creta, seltos ,Astor . He is saving around 2.3 lakhs(approx) a year plus service cost extra(venue service cost was 6 to 8 thousand). Warranty of battery offer by company is 8 years or 160000 kms, So if u save 5 rs to 6 rs per km from ur EV then u will save around 8 to 10 lakhs plus service cost of 160000 kms is around 6000(average) and EV is around 3000(avg on higher size) so u save around 50000 on service to. In short u save 10 lakhs if u cover 160000 kms and I think with the pace of increasing infrastructure for EV's after 2 to 3 years battery ki prices bhi bahut kum hojayenge agar India mai kisi ne bada plant laga diya toh.

You are lucky no other non-ev vehicle was parked at the charger spots. Typically , I have observed that these spots are crowded with limited parking space and ppl blindly park their vehicles in ev spots, leaving ev owners no place to charge .

I have a question Why don't ev vehicle manufacturer add dynamo or generator system , while moving it will charge automatically So the half battery pack will charge while driving And can be used simultaneously

We thought of buying a Nexon and almost had it finalized. But when we saw that there is only 4 charging stations between Pune to Bangalore, that too away from highway route and only one between Pune to Mangalore 🤷‍♂️ we just gave up the idea. Gadkari laakh bole ke petrol bandh kar denge, pehle infrastructure toh banake de. Log kharidne k liye taiyar hai but not at the cost of getting stranded with family in the middle of nowhere. Moreover, their road assist doesn't actually assist in these places. Is it so tuff for govt to install one charging port in every petrol bunk on main routes at least? Jab tak infra nahi ayegi aur gadiyan aag pakadna bandh nahi hogi log ev se door hi rahenge bhai ☹️😔

What if you reach a charging point for recharge and there are 2 cars already in que , 2 hours will be wasted while just waiting and then 3rd hour to recharge, so alot of time will be wasted it seems if EV is used today

Nice information but keep in mind that In future EV charging stations pe itni veer lagi hogi like fuel pumps that there will be fight among travellers to get a charging point who will be travelling long distance and will loose patience waiting for hours to get one charging point + min 1 hr charging time even in fast chargers. So there is no replacement for petrol/diesel cars practically even in near future till battery swapping option comes instead of charging, which is still a distant dream. So ICE cars zindabad even in near future.💪😃

People if you run the cost then petrol car is cheaper than ev. A petrol full option nexon cost 13 lakh vs 17 lakh for nexon ev compare it with 5 years with petrol 100 rs then ev is lot costier than petrol. Buy disel or petrol after calculating 5yearly. Plus if you battery have complaint then replacement of battery cost around 7 lakh . Nexon battery

You were able to charge your car because there are not many EVs around you. Just imagine, if there are more cars in the line to charge themselves, what would have happened then ? Petrol, Deisel and CNGs take very less time to fill up the tank. But EV is a different story. It takes hours for only one vehicle to charge. We certailny need multiple Charging Points at every place if we want to prepare for the future otherwise, future me Itni bheed hogi EV chraging stations me ki log Petrol and Deisel cars hi lenge for long distance.
