We've been get "Dolphined" in Destin & Panama City Florida for at least 20 years. We just open the bail to take any pressure off and the Dolphin will eat the fish and give us back the head and lure, with no drag damage! Try it :o)

I've always worried about hooking one of the marine animals that live around here (Otters, sea lions).

Something cool I learned a few years back. When I dolphin grabs the fish on your line, try popping the line a few times (pinch, pull, release). I have done it and it has worked several times. From what I was told, is it creates vibrations and messes with the dolphins sonar.....I think they just really don't like it, however it works.

Had the same luck at the lighthouse lake trails. Ended with hooking a small trout that was slammed by a dolphin and tore the gears up in an old okuma I was using. Pretty exciting end to the day.

well the ht100 drag system, 100 means you can run 100 miles of line without any wear, and yes i know its not on that reel im just sayin... ht100

So if u had a 600lb porpoise/ dolphin on the line than basically you found the biggest one in history?

You shouldn't have tightened your drag you should have grabbed the top of the spool

I would have chummed all over myself when that dolphin came out of the water on that trout.

The whole time i have been fishing i have expected something like that to happen but never did. This is the first time i have seen them hit a fish that was hooked. Here they follow it inches away then they always wait for me to toss it back in. Sweet looking flat also. Seems to be quite large. And nice catches. Just one tip, next time grab your spool bro, don't tighten the drag down to break off.

In case you didn't get it to read in your last video: Hey dude, greeting from Nicaragua. In one hand, I want you to know your videos are very entertaining, your dedication and the positive attitude are amazing (RIP GoPro/sneaky dolphin). On the other hand, as a surf fishing noob I have a few questions related to your fishing gear. I would love to surf fish here in Nicaragua, but the problem is I don’t own the proper gear and sadly have a low budget. If you could recommend me some rods and reels for medium sized fish that amazon offers that would be great. The Penn Prevail surf fishing rod that you have seems pretty nice, what about the reel? I love fishing since I was a Kid, but never had the proper gear (I fish with fishing nylon enrolled on a piece of wood, a hook, weight and the right bait. Sound crazy but is pretty effective). Keep it up with your videos. Already saw all of them and learned a lot. If you could explain a lit bit more about your rods and reels instead of just focusing on the baits that would clear a lot of things to me. Thanks for your time and give doggy a big hug :) PS: Buying surf fishing gear here in Nicaragua is possible, but there are no many options.

it sounds bad but we need to get rid of some of the dolphins they eat all the weakfish and small fish and in Jersey there are hardly any fish already don't need competitions
