After working her first mainline charter down the East Coast Mainline in over 20 years on Saturday, 60532 Blue Peter was returning home to Crewe today with the empty coaching stock used for the run and 57311.
I wasn't able to go and see her running down the ECML yesterday, but I could at least go and get her heading home today. We drove to Acton Bridge and spent an afternoon their filming 60532. What a sight!
Love the BR Express Passenger Blue livery, it has always been my favourite BR steam era livery, and 60532 really does look gorgeous in it. A superb job has been done to bring 60532 back in steam and to get her repainted, hats off to those involved. I look forward to seeing more of Blue Peter in the future whether on the mainline or on a heritage line.
