Installed a 2000-Watt MY1020 Brushless Motor and Controller Kit on my Razor Ground Force go kart and over-volted it with a 60-Volt set up (DeWalt 20V Max batteries wired in a Series.) Now it's time to see how powerful and how fast it can actually go. Stay tuned for more upgrades!

Hi can we go over why the wire was recommended to be replaced on the volt meter? And why the volt meter/thumb stoped working. I’m working on doing this same build and just want to clarify💪🏼 Thanks!

@@talonwinkle9552 sometimes its wired incorrectly and will not work. Just have to swap the two wires and that's it

ive got the components from a "Kaboo mantis 10 pro" (60v 24.5ah battery, 2x 1000w hub motors, controller, display) i want to make smth like this but my only concern is the fact i will be using 2 motors in one cart, do you have any tips?

Hmm well this wouldn’t be the kart for it since it has very very limited space. You may have to fabricate custom rear mounts for whatever kart you go with since both sides of each axle would need to be supported for the hub motors

Sick! I've been following you and purchased 2 usef GFD Fury for my kids. Set them up with 2 18v ryobi batteries because that fast enough for my girls. BUT I dislike how loud it is because of the tires. Can you please help figure our what kind of wheels I would need to make it quieter. I don't even need it to drift because my kids enjoy just racing back and forth with it..

You should switch out the rear wheels with rubber ones. Almost same size as the front. That's what I did with mine. More grip. Now it's a gokart and not a drifter but can be reversed easily

That’s a fast go kart awesome stuff. I’m working on a razor eco smart seat scooter. I have it 36v lithium battery so far next will be upgrading the brakes and twist throttle. Maybe one day you do a project on the eco smart seat version

You might be able to put a disc brake on the motor shaft. A little bit of welding will need to be done although.

Hi I did this same exact build all the way to the same sprocket as you but I can’t seem to get above 20mph, are you sure you are using your speedometer in mi/hr? When I converted 20 mi/hr to km/hr I got 32 km/hr so I’m just trying to make sure I’m not doing anything wrong.

Speedo is GPS based and I’m MPH, same one used on my Talaria and other bikes.. What brand controller do you have and how many volts does it read at the volt meter? Also how much do you weigh?

Also I measured wheel speed with a digital laser tachometer on all (3) speed options. What RPMs do your rear wheels read at?

@@PatOutdoors I weigh roughly 170lbs and i am also using a vevor controller and motor, i have the stock trottle and key swich so i dont know exactly how may vots is running but it is usually above 60 volts before it gets to any connections.

I cut down some front tires from a mower. Then I used 1/2 wood screws to screw them down to my rear tires. It made a hell of a difference like you wouldn't believe. Made me able to take turns without spinning out at high speed. Give it a try. You'll be surprised at the difference in handling. I also picked up my 0- 40 time by 3 seconds on the pavement. I run a 14-tooth spur and a 65-axle sprocket. Give it a try my man you'll be very surprised. Take care. Also, I'm still on a brushed setup. 84volts on a 1500watt brushed motor.

@jasonbushing5387 I just took 2 old mower tires and cut a length of tread as wide and as long as needed, drilled 4 shallow pilot holes and screwed the ends down with 2 wood screws on each end, where the ends met. Pretty simple job. I used a 1/32 drill bit to drill the pilot holes about a half inch deep, and a number 2 Phillips screw bit. Doesn't have to be exact. You can put your own little twist on it. I'm on vacation right now and am 1500 miles away from the kart at the moment.

Razor dune buggy wheels, axle and disk brake are a direct fit. You could slip some PVC over the rear tires on a dune buggy tire

@@PatOutdoorshi I bought a motor similar to the motor you got but I’m not sure if the 48. Volt motor will handle 72 volts but it looks very similar to basically to 72 Volt motor
