621 - Attempting to obtain one of Pokemon Gen V's trickiest medals: the 30 People Funfest Medal

Congratulations on completing probably one of the most difficult tasks in any Pokémon game even almost 10 years after the North American release! As a huge gen 5 enthusiast, I love that these games still have a dedicated community that can accomplish amazing things like this and the GTS revival (and hopefully the dreamworld). I hope that I can be a part of the next meetup and get these medals one day! Keep up the amazing work, I always love to see what cool ideas you come up with!

So happy to see this video drop! This made for a great last outing before I left for college a couple days later (I was the guy with the CFA cow mask). And wouldn’t you know it, I made friends with a shiny hunter at college who knew exactly who you were but couldn’t make it to Smashcon this time. Maybe we will both get to come if this happens again next year!

Here’s an interesting idea for a Level 100 Gauntlet. Battling is the main way you level Pokémon up. So let’s go somewhere where battling is everything there is to do, one of the battle facilities. But, you may notice battle facilities don’t award EXP. But there is another way to level Pokémon up there. That’s right. Take a Pokémon all the way from Level 1 to Level 100 only using Rare Candies bought from a battle facility. It’s probably best to do this the same way you did the Maid Challenge and train up some competitive Pokémon the normal way first, then used that team on the facility to get the BP needed to buy the Rare Candies for your baby Pokémon.

I wanted to do this back at multiple Pokémon Regionals in Texas during the Black2/White2 era, but everyone was always too focused on their matches to load up the C-Gear. There seemed to be a few hundred people at the events, so it should've been easy. I even tried asking around later during the XY era, but of course, it was even more impossible then. Though, one of those times I did find a person who had Gen III Pokérus and they spread it over to my Sapphire.
