Off topic: I'm currently hunting for Shiny Growlithe in HeartGold and switch in my Shiny Victreebell to do a test run on a normal one to use Sleep Powder and it used Roar and ended the battle. Thank God it wasn't the Shiny! Didn't know that was possible!
I could never see Gardevoir's sprite the way you originally perceived it, but when you edited the sprite to talk my whole life changed 😂 I'll never be able to unsee this now lmaoooo
I don't know if it's possible to put into words how long I was stunlocked by the ralts being named ibuprofen into the live breaker reaction being another cam and not just a still image reveal.
Man, this makes my Modest female ralts I found randomly in Ruby feel incredibly rare LOL Needless to say, I was super stoked when I found it but considering it took you this long to find it, perhaps I should cherish it even more.
i was upset that you got it during one of the only streams recently i wasn't watching live, but then i realized that if i had been there it would have caused you to hit different frames and not get the shiny, so it's basically all thanks to me that you got it (kidding obviously). huge congrats!
imagine if you asked him a thing as simple as "do a heart with your hands for the chat", that would have caused him to not press the reset buttons on the right time so yea.

Because of the time (cal) zone difference, I've almost never been able to watch you live, and I'm always surprised by any video of yours, but with Threads and sometimes Twitter, I've been able to see the background of your shiny adventure and knew a video was coming eventually, building the hype, so glad to be part of your community !

Oh, I love how purple they look in the GameCube games! I wouldn't have minded that coloration carrying over into future titles! Also, congrats, much respect for sticking with the hunt, however long it took. Went through something similar for a Shiny Gligar in XD- that hunt took years, accounting for all the breaks I took.
Doing a badge quest in sword, your vids have been a huge inspiration and extremely motivating ( you actually inspired me to start one due to your own badge quest in sword < 3 ) searching for either nickit or zigzagoon ( naming nickit either silver or shiver, and zigs either slushy or slurpie ). just around 2000 encounters so far. Love your videos so much !! < 33 thanks for all the content you’ve provided over the years :] After 2990 encounters…. I managed to get pokerus! This is like my fourth time getting pokerus 😭 why can’t it be a shiny instead! Over odds now , at 4,547 encounters . So I’m taking a little break from nickit/zigzagoon and going to try and masuda method a scorbunny! Then I will come back for nickit/zigzagoon :] 721 eggs for shiny scorbunny! And in the same day found a full odds hoothoot!

Would you ever consider an “Absolute Plays” movie for the first 3 gen games? These movies have kept me company on my lonely night shifts and long runs more times than I can count - I even listened to them to get me through the 4 hours of an ultramarathon! Would be incredible to relive those gb/gbc/gba games of my childhood through your eyes, and see all your 1/8192 shiny encounters!! Great video! Loved the "AH" and adored your use of Colosseum and XD to show to alternate shiny sprites! The intec screen is a great touch! I love that the face sprites for the shinys are also using a frame from move animation too! Genius sonority really put in the work with these games. Cant wait to see more vids!

I also started this hunt a little bit ago and recently tuned into a stream where you had a small Capture of a gen 3 game of this Ralts hunt. Gz on the shiny it's sprite is too good in Gen 3

Congrats on the shiny ralts! I litterally just got mine on the 4th!!! This makes me so happy I want to evolve it but at the same time I dont. Might hunt my second one this way to keep as a ralts!
the first shiny zigzagoon was my first stream i ever came into i think i showed up for about 30 seconds and then the shiny popped up. streams are always the best im really glad i get to tune in every now and then!

Oh my god, I know the origins of that Ibuprofen meme. Someone shared a photo of a test paper for some ethics or some other kind of homework, and the question was phrased something like "Your sister approaches you and says 'our parents are yelling again, it's only a matter of time before their anger turns to us. Take ibuprofen with me, just a few pills and their words will fade away. What do you do?" and it somehow spawned literally every anime character doing that friggen pose. I saw this on TUMBLR, the sudden whiplash of it showing up here is trippy
It was from an anti-drug program worksheet, likely because they wanted to demonstrate what drug peer pressure looks like without referencing any drugs anyone would actually take recreationally (or would be illegal to do so)
When seeing the ibuprofen army, my internet froze on the brown ralts and I thought it was a dramatic pause so I nearly bust out laughing because it went DEAD silent
Congrats Matt, I would never have the patience to do this hunt. I saw Gen 3 Hunter go 30 phases for this and took him two years. Fullest odds hunters will always have my highest bit of respect.
You spooked me with how you made the sprite talk... thankfully my view is near incorruptible of Gardevoir's sprites. But man... 7 phases. That's nutty. Which does remind me of that one guy who is with the help of an AI, is hunting every shiny Pokémon in each route. Managed to obtain 1 Shiny Seedot at the moment. He is still streaming today. I might actually want to hunt for my own shiny Dustox at some point. Or heck do my own shiny quest in my own copy of Ruby when I order it sometime next month or so. I can’t make this shit up. I was hunting for 20 minutes on my emerald save. No 10% repel… just watching and acting like we were hunting together, and I got a shiny ralts at the exact same time in your video. My first ever shiny, and my first time playing Pokémon emerald… I’m baffled… probably like my 40th encounter on this route Edit: just did the math, for me to find it on the first try (which it was pretty damn close to that) the odds would be (4/100)*(1/8192) which is a Mind Blowing 0.000122% Chance… like WTF!! Take into account that just yesterday I caught a Nincada with pokerus I must be the luckiest man alive

I also used to watch Gardevoir's sprite that way. Since Gardevoir sounds french, and a french stereotype is how stuck up they can be, that was totally how I originally looked at Gardevoir
Just seeing the intro, I made the same mistake with Gallade's hair tuff (its artwork doesnt help) so knowing it wasn't just me struggling with that line and where their mouths were is extremely validating.
i was in stream when absol caught the shiny! i was blasted out of my mind though so all i remember is just them getting it out of the pc and looking at it, but still fun to be there :]
