The weather man is calling for a good storm in a few days and I wanted to push back the narrow drive way in this video. It is much steeper than it looks and it is a driveway my dad plows with a 3/4 ton pick up. The road it self only had 1-2 inches of snow on it all I wanted to move was the banks on the side. The job was done free of charge it was just to help out my dad and make it easier for him. I was in no hurry.
Due to the amount of rude and disrespectful comments that I had to remove from the last video all comments from this video on will need to be approved. Subscribers are always welcome, trolls will be released back into the woods.

That looks like an awesome machine. It’s very nice of you to do this for your father. I bet he will be very happy that you did this for him. Looks like you had a good time doing it.

It’s definitely nice to sit up high and be able to see all of the plow, much better than a truck.

I have seen some similar videos, I like the Yellostone National Park getting plowed out by a grader with a vee plow being pulled by two bulldozers.

Nice setup! Looks like you're going to need it this weekend. I actually work for Craig Manufacturing where the plow gear was made and it's nice to see it in action.

I bought this loader last year from Nortrax and it was shipped to the New Brunswick shop in Hartland to have the plow and wing installed. Craig MFG did a great job. I was able to look at my loader through JD Link and I could tell when the loader was running and where it was in the yard or garage. You guys make a great product, thanks.

So... beautiful setup. Love your skidder videos too. I also live in western Maine. And also have a skidder.... and also live near Bethel. If you happen to be just a bit south of Bethel, you might be able to hear the Detroit in my skidder ?

I’m north of Bethel but I’m surprised I can’t hear your Detroit, those things scream. Is it a Timberjack?

Yup... it’s an early 70’s TJ 225. I go to sea for a living... but dub around cutting view lots, and other small logging jobs when I’m home. Send me an email if you care too... jj.schief@gmail.com.

With the studded ice chains on all four tires that loader is a beast. I think I have only used the front dif lock once. Love it, couldn’t be happier with that setup.

Awesome video. It looks like you've done that road once before already. There is very little snow in the ground here along the coast, sounds like that's all going to change this weekend 😁👍

Looks like you are being a good neighbor by using your own equipment to keep the rural roads around you plowed. Is this correct? How many road miles do you plow? Your neighbors should be thankful.
@TB-jj9tu
@TB-jj9tu 5 лет назад
Yes! The work done in this video was free for the landowner and the town. I don’t really plow any of the town roads. My dad does that with a town truck. If he is not around and we get a storm I’ll plow the roads, that happens every once in a blue moon. If I am out with the loader cleaning yards and the banks on town roads are getting high ill wing them back just for fun.

Folks, this is HOW you plow snow. NOT with pickup trucks. Use equipment, such as a walk behind snow blower, compact tractor, big tractor, or construction equipment. Even class 8 trucks with plows get stressed out.
@Briebabcock8052
@Briebabcock8052 4 года назад
Well you have a decent point, but class 6-8 trucks where meant to be multi purpose and take a beating. What really wears down the trucks is too many operators use the trucks and hardly any of them clean out the interiors, barely do half the job spraying the salt sand mixture so they end up rusting out, and then the plow and harness get really beat to hell and back when you've got clueless operators who don't lube the friction points, so they bind up, then there are the ones who bend the harnesses. And this even goes for machinery such as this loader.
@danne77sthlm
@danne77sthlm 5 лет назад
That looks really clever that second blade you have there! Never seen that before so I am very curios about it, can you lift it straight up with the loader arms as well all the way up, when moving the snow etc?
@TB-jj9tu
@TB-jj9tu 5 лет назад
Yup it’s called benching. I can hold the side wing up 30 inches with the front blade still on the ground and up to 48 inches level if I left the front blade off the ground. I can move the loader arms and the wing is flexible to move with them.

THOSE ARE SOME MEAN LOOLING CHAINS!!! DO YOU KNOW WERE THEY ARE MADE?? WE HAVE A COMPANY HERE IN PUEBLO CO THAT MAKES THOSE KIND OF CHAINS AND MAYBE THEY COME FROM HERE??
@TB-jj9tu

Cool setup! Those tire chains are crazy! Do you always plow with them on?
@TB-jj9tu
@TB-jj9tu 5 лет назад
No, I usually try to plow without chains. Lately we have gotten some rain that iced everything over. If I have to travel on bare pavement they cause the loader to shake if I go over 10mph. They also leave some deep marks on pavement.
