Watching too from our 200 yr old brick 1 room school house in Washington County NY. Near Sadatoga Springs. Greetings on a very cool but dry and lovely Fall AM . We admire this young couple, rembereing our rehab.. They are terrific. ❤❤❤❤

First we will vacuum it and point the stones, then we probably will have to vacuum again and use a humid microfiber to clean each stone one by one!

Actually our roof is very well insulated and it wasn't unbearably hot this summer up there!

@@ateliermavi You're in the hills. I suppose it's cooler than much of the country. Heat rises, boo. It's not about the insulation.

Thank you 😉 we sanded the spots where the difference between two panels was over 1mm, it is easier then to smooth everything with the joint filler

@@ateliermavi Only this question remains and I wish you all the best in the finishing of your home. Maybe you also came across this problem that I have? After applying the joint filler, the glue joint is still visible (but can not be felt) on the surface in some places by scraping the filler tightly with the board surface. If you also had this, did the finisher cover it? I know you could cover the glue joint more thickly, but I'm afraid of creating bumps where the plates are now flush. Thanks in advance and greetings from Belgium.

It was a lot of work and could have taken 3 days.. but I pushed to do as much as I could each day so I wouldn't have to do this horrible job one more day 😅

We will install a hand rail eventually to make it safer!

Grazie per i complimenti e per il feedback ♥️ Sì siamo d’accordo che esteticamente sarebbe stato meglio poter vedere tutta la parete in pietra ✨✨ Purtroppo però avevamo solo 75mq a disposizione e volevamo ricavarci due stanze. Se avessimo messo le due stanze sul retro, avremmo dovuto optare per un bagno cieco (senza finestra) e saremmo stati obbligati a predisporre l’angolo cottura nella zona giorno. Per questa casa volevamo una cucina separata dal soggiorno. Inoltre, in questo modo abbiamo posizionato le camere a nord e la zona giorno a sud, scelta ottimale a livello energetico. Con questa soluzione abbiamo poi anche ricavato spazio sopra le camere, sfruttando l’altezza a disposizione. Abbiamo più volte cambiato il progetto e girato tutto, ma la nostra scelta finale è ricaduta su questa disposizione per tanti diversi fattori. Progettare è sempre arrivare a un compromesso. Certamente ci sono delle regole da rispettare, ma nei casi in cui si ha più libertà le ragioni della scelta sono personalissime e soggettive!

Grazie ma non hai risposto alla mia obiezione :perché avete azzoppato il “portale” non dico di modificare il lay out,quello va bene così e credo sia la soluzione migliore, col portale a vista totale avreste solo ridotto la metratura di una delle due camere da letto

@@elisabethselander4205 avremmo dovuto ridurre la superficie della stanza, che è già al minimo, ma anche della lavanderia e quindi del bagno. Questi 20cm che abbiamo preso all’apertura tra cucina e salotto, le dovevamo prendere per forza per fare funzionare il nostro layout :)

C'est vrai, on s'est fait la même remarque en comparant avec les parois en blocs de chanvre qui ont eu besoin de beaucoup moins de préparation avant de pouvoir y appliquer l'enduit de finition! Mais les blocs de chanvre n'auraient pas pu soutenir la mezzanine selon la fiche technique fournie par isohemp... des cloisons structure bois et remplissage en blocs de chanvre auraient pu être une solution.. Ce sera pour un prochain projet! 😉

Yes, the blue tape prevent me from staining the wood or the finished plaster. It takes a few minutes to set up but makes you save a lot of time afterward
