@@InvincibleExtremesthey did not make a 250 cubic inch 6-cylinder in 1963 I don't think that came along until like 66 somebody could have put a 250 cubic inch into this car but most likely it had either 194 cubic inch 6 or a 230 cubic inch 6
Sweet ride. Nice to see and old car rolling down the road . I did a simple rebuild on a 62 sedan. New fiberglass front fenders, valve lifters, paint and simple trim. 192 six powerglide. Mine had such a good front end after alignment I literally drove it 6 miles on th interstate without touching the steering wheel. Only car I could ever do that. Forgotten gold. Thanks, guys
I agree with the 283 but keep the 5 speed for road trips. It is a wagon after all. Thanks for posting the video. Good to see you’re still getting out on the road.
I enjoyed the video brother, someday I look forward to doing a roadtrip with ya, maybe you, me, and chris need to do a Roadkill style junkyard rescue. Keep up the great work my friend.
I find it ironic that three dirt poor guys own a few while others living comfortably don't work hard for one... and complain constantly about the prices they fetch
That is one cool wagon! I remember having that same boat anchor in my C-10, could of had a little more power but was super fun to drive even with the 250.
Hey man good to see ya back. I noticed you drove through my neck of the woods on that trip here in east Texas. Post a little more often...lol. Steve in Texas.
Been balls to the wall lately just trying to survive. But I had a couple days I could squeeze in a trip so I took the opportunity. I do have a lot planned for the channel though...
Yeah... I'm the event your brakes fail you have nothing... and you have to hunt for right gear if you need to get on the gas. But if always shifting into the proper gear you'll always be ready
I miss having an old car.. There's a 67 Catalina for sale up in Chico with a 400 for $4200 obo but (welcome to living at home and gas being almost $4/gal) I'm not allowed to go get it.. Granted I'm also not allowed to go down to Sac and buy a car that gets 22-24mpg averaged because "we have two cars that don't ever go anywhere, why pay for registration and insurance just so you can say you own your own car?" Yes I was actually going to buy a newer car.. In fact a car I'd never expect I'd ever be interested in... A BMW 328XI 3.0L straight six. For only being 230hp/200 ft lbs those things will move a lot better than you'd think... and you can get them with somewhat good mileage for around $5k. Hell I was even willing to go get an 05 Pontiac Bonneville 4.6L. I don't like not owning my own car.. especially when I'm still trying to find a gf LOL.
Nice lil wagon, that drivetrain is dependable as an anvil. You must be talking about the jumps west of Jackson Ms on 20 XD Airborn, land steer, airborn land steer XD In a tractor trailer it's like riding a bull for 100 miles. Or being in an accident for 90 minutes XD
Nice, brings back memories seeing that dash. I had a '62 Nova 4 door sedan as my first car back in 1996. It was a piece of shit, but it ran. Put a v6 engine in it from a chevy monza. lol
I tried anyway. We didnt have the tools to pull the pinion bearing off and get it perfect and itll need to get rebuilt later. But we did get the car to el paso...
@@novoiperkele They did but he never mentioned what cam. The combo I stated was one I used on my first engine in a '71 Chevelle. Got it down to 15.44 3.08 peg leg, cast iron intake, HEI, headers and glasspack exhuast. Stock TH350 and convertor, vacuum modulator turned all way in and running type F. Oh, I ran steel shim head gaskets too.
But is that T5 out of S10, Camaro, Chevette, acquiring minds want to know believe it or not don't make fun of the Chevette one cuz it's a world-class t5 if it is I know I own a few they're heavier-duty then an S10 so you're saying it drives like a Ford F-350 then with that bad bump steer my boss has been driving that for a hundred thousand miles brand new
@@InvincibleExtremes That’s pretty awesome! What was the purpose of the trip itself? Just driving the car, or did you/he have something to so I’m El Paso?
