Comparison of Just Resin titanium white vs Colour Obsession Snow White to make a frothy resin wave pour on 25 cm x 30 cm plywood. I prepped the canvas with a sand coloured resin beach.
If you have another white pigment you want me to test out, let me know in the comment section below.
I used snow white epoxy pigment paste by Colour Obsession, unbleached titanium pigment powder by Langridge, turquoise basic and titanium white pigment pastes, Art Resin and DiamondCote resin from Just Resin.

Great comparison test, thanks for sharing. How long did you wait for the whites to “go off” a little before dribbling them on, I couldn’t tell from your phone view. 👍💞

Thanks 😁 the DiamondCote has a working time of 70 minutes so I add the white at about 50 minutes 👍

@@Procrastipainter your video showed you mixed the white before you set the timer. Us that right???
@Procrastipainter
@Procrastipainter 3 года назад
Hi Pat, I start my timer when I start mixing parts A + B. I need to know when I'm about 20 minutes from the end of my working time so that's what I'm waiting for

hi, in all the tutorials no one clarifies whether the white is pure pigment, or contains substances to produce the cells or whether some additive is added to the colored resin which, with heat or time, produces the cell effect. Thanks for the reply

Hi 😁 for all of my videos, I tell you what white pigment I use at the start, and write it in the description box. The only things in the white is the mixed resin (part A and B) and the white pigment. I don't add anything else. I hope that helps!

@@Procrastipainter thanks for your kind replay. I absolutely didn't want to criticize, in fact your videos are beautiful and clear, which is why I follow you. I just didn't think that white pigment alone was enough to produce those beautiful cells. In fact I can barely get the wave effect by adding a "wave drop" to the white.... if I don't add anything I only get white stripes. 😂😂😂 I'm Italian and here in Europe you can't find the products you list under your videos, that's why I asked you that stupid question. Now that you have answered me I will try with different resins and different white pigments until I finish money or I succeed. And I will succeed!!! thanks again Alessandro

@alerazza5757 I don't mind if you were criticising my videos anyway 😁 when it comes to making the cells in resin, I've found the main things that matter are how thick your resin is, the heat you apply, the angle and for how long, and different whites give different looks. Some whites will never give you the cells you want! It truly is about finding what works for you. And no, not every resin will work perfectly. You could order directly from Just Resin (I'm not sponsored at all) but I know the freight would be very high. It might end up being cheaper than searching through lots of different combinations though. Best of luck on your adventure! Liz

How long did you set timer before using the white? Great video! Thank you so much!
@Procrastipainter
@Procrastipainter 3 года назад
Thanks! I start my timer when I start mixing for about 10 minutes before the suggested working time. E.g. my working time is 70 mins so I set a timer for 50 minutes. You're basically waiting for the resin to get thicker before you lay down the white

hello, what the mix to make foam, just resin+whire pigment?
@Procrastipainter
@Procrastipainter Год назад
Hi! Mix your resin as per instructions (A + B) then add less than 10% white pigment paste

That's what I thought - it moved further along the piece. But that could have been how much white I put down (or pigment I put in)

That was a great test, looks there same. Have you tested mixol or armour art pigment? I was looking into trying them...any info on those? Thanks!

Thanks! I looked for an Australian stockist for armor art last week but looks like I'd have to import it myself 😥 I'll have to look up mixol too. Thanks again!
