@@rustyharden2716 we send our setup fresh off the trailer. Engine passes tell you nothing. Put a tune in that bitch and send it. If the NOS setup is built and flowed properly there is absolutely no reason to engine pass that pig.

When you see people purge nitrous like crazy it's because they put to much heat in the bottle and the pressure is to high so you purge to get the pressure down.

It always leaves me baffled when the wannabes install a cam in their street rod, which is usually way too big, to make their weekend fun car sound like a race car. All it sounds like is an overcammed street car. There's no smoothness and there's no crackles. It''s just lumpy and rough going but not very race car like.
If bottle pressure is an issue, why don't nitrous companies make something to lower pressure without wasting nitrous? Like a piston or something to increase bottle size without using nitrous. Just a thought.

I’ve heated bottles to 1100 before then get to the water box sooner than expected and purge down to 850 for the pass. Gota sit there purging for 15-20 seconds straight some times 🤷🏽♂️
People don't know anything. They have not had the displeasure of rolling up to the beams, just to find that you're 50 PSI low on pressure. You can always adjust down, but you're screwed if you need to go up.
It does not have to mean that the bottle is over-pressurized. You might just have too much pressure for what you have tuned for. You're pretty much screwed if your pressure is too low to begin with. But if you make sure to fill your bottle properly, you can always adjust down.
Jesus that was underwhelming my 632 is a Merlin block with 355cc dart heads, a tunnel ram with two 1050 dominators making 1200hp on q16 in my 95 Vette drag car with a turbo 400 and a ford 9" with a set of 4.30s fastest pass to date was 7.87 at 175

Really? I've been racing nitrous for over 15 years, and I could not tell it was off. Hell, I could not even tell what bottle pressure, what timing, or what launch RPM he was at, Dang, I could not even see what his tire pressure was, or what gear ratio or A/F ratio he's running. Hmm, silly me... I guess it's because I'M BEHIND MY DAMN KEYBOARD!!! Bench racers and keyboard warriors, ffs...
@@excelerater Guess what. It was a test pass and the car left in second. It was not meant to be “fast”. But here’s a few numbers. It still ran a 1.2 60’ and a 5.38 1/8 mile. It was the cars third pass and part of a chassis dial-in.

Bout $40 bucks in nitrous down the crapper... 5 runs down the track wasting all that nos you could repaint that turd a nice color instead of 1987 Toyota beige...
Nitrous is cheap. A lot cheaper than melting pistons from going lean down the track due to too high bottle pressure. Before posting, you might want to learn a bit about running nitrous.
