I’m looking at these photos, wondering how people lived in those days, but 150 years from now someone will be looking at photos of us today! Thinking the same thing.

I love seeing old photos. All those people lived real lives, and most are no longer alive. I love seeing the old architecture, furnishings, and clothes.

my son's roommate collects Hot Wheels- I must find a print of the photo- it would make a good birthday present! would be fun to find a current one for comparison! radio assembly-- today it's tvs, mobile phones, which do everything but make bagels.. tho one could use one for setting the bagel heater, or a furnace.. setting a furnace and cameras is possible! Glen Ford's relative in the middle at 8:48? the 3 girls wading at Fisherman's Island is very delightful! the leg vase took me back to the 1983 movie, A Christmas Story, and the leg lamp. I googled to refresh my memory! according to what I read, there were 3 made for the movie- none 'survived' the filming. the caption for the picture of the couple next to the old car reminds me of a 16horsepower song, Praying Arm Lane. You must listen, only if you want to. =P =) sooo, was the chicken tender too, sometime in the future? (bad joke!) maybe it was a prop- a stuft chicken? Our mother took us to the Blue Bird Beauty Shop for our first haircut and permanent wave. It was one where each curler had a cord that plugged in. I am 76 . The one I love most is wild tender girl with chicken. ❤

I love old photos. It's a shame that our culture today will only leave behind a digital record and nothing tangible like old photographs. 😢

I watch these wonderful treasure photos and some look so sad, dark and depressing. But then I have to realize it wasn’t necessarily as dark, drab and dreary as it seems. There was light and color and these were snippets of their lives with happier moments in between, at least I pray so.

You know what you can do with the background piano music.
