Vietnamese people have the custom that every year when Tet comes, no matter what job or from anywhere, they hope to return to reunite under the roof of family for 3 days of Tet, to worship in front of the ancestral altar, the grave, the well, the yard, etc. to relive with the loving memories of the beloved childhood. it is not an ordinary concept of going or going, but a pilgrimage to the roots, the place where the navel is cut off.
According to the Vietnamese concept, the first New Year's Day is a day of reunion, reunion the relationship between neighbors and neighbors is expanded, binding each other into a common morality for the whole society: family affection, the relationship between teachers and students, patients and doctors.
Tet is also a day to reunite with those who have passed away. From dinner on the 30th night, before New Year's Eve, families burned incense to invite the spirits of their grandparents and ancestors and deceased relatives to eat and enjoy Tet with their children and grandchildren. In every Vietnamese family, the ancestral altar has a very important position.
