I love the stuffed tigers and the tree and gold coin decorations. Is there a reason for putting the happy new year diamond shaped signs upside down?

The character 福 (fú) means "fortune/good luck" and 倒 (dào) means "upside-down", which is a homophone with 到 (dào) "to arrive". Hi, just want to let you know that we are supposed to a have video to show how I prepare a traditional dinner for the lunar new year. For the reasons below, we decided to delay one day. We will publish it on Jan 1st at 10 am. This is a 1-hour long video (be sure to make a cup of coffee or tea before you start watching LOL!) We have never done anything in this length so it took a bit longer time than we estimated to edit. We are currently working on the final touch of editing and we want the video to come out perfect. Please understand. I am very proud of this video. We filmed an entire process of the food making, the culture behind it, and the traditions. I am very excited to publish it and I hope you can enjoy it. Thank you so much for videos like this. Usually my husband and I go to a parade and we’ll eat dim sum, but for the last couple of years they haven’t had it, I know he looks forward to it every year, so this year I’m going to attempt a dinner for us and my father-in-law. I’m a little nervous because when his grandfather owned restaurants and was a very good cook, I just hope it goes ok. Thank you again all your videos really help me out.

That was fun! I always have a Red Lantern to light up for Lunar New Year.....it is a nice Holiday, to look forward to, after Christmas. I live in Southern California, Vietnam People celebrate also. I think U.S. should celebrate more. I was very lucky to have a Chinese Egg Roll made from South China Sea Grass....it was Special.
