Hello.. I have 5-5K bulbs in shop light fixtures. About $85 total. The tank is all black pond armor, on sides and back. So the 3ft depth looks far.

@@FreeSwimmer I keep askimg how strong the wattage is, so I don't buy weak wattage bulbs.. Thx. 🐠👌 Edit: Do I need 40 watt LED bulbs (or more) to grow plants in a deep tank? I do not know...

After you asked question, the left bulb expired. I get 5-6 years out of them.. The box states 60w ( Led equals 9w usage ) The bulbs are nearly 12inches above water and water depth is 28inches as well. They grow algae in that setup. Not sure plants would thrive though ?@@bubblerings
